Barcelona are reportedly prioritising signing Athletic Bilbao ace Nico Williams this summer, as per the transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano

It initially looked like the Blaugrana were in financial difficulties so they wouldn’t be able to spend big in this transfer window to reinforce their squad.

However, news started to emerge that Barcelona have found themselves in a stronger position financially, compared to last year, and therefore, they can sign new faces before the end of this window.

It appears the Catalan giants have identified the left-wing position as an area that needs reinforcements and have earmarked Williams as the primary target to do that.

After coming through the Basque club’s youth system, he has established himself as a talismanic figure for his boyhood club, helping them win the Copa del Rey title last term.

Barcelona keen on signing Williams

Following that, he played a key role for Spain in the recently concluded European Championship, guiding them to win this competition by scoring a goal in the final.

It was previously reported that Barcelona already started talks with Williams’ representatives to agree on personal terms with him before triggering his £49m release clause to finalise the deal.

Barcelona are said to be also looking to purchase Dani Olmo and Joao Cancelo this summer. However, writing on X, Romano has reported that Barcelona are prioritising signing Williams first and they won’t look to purchase any other target before securing his signature. So, the journalist says Hansi Flick’s side have already held talks over a deal to sign Olmo but that move is currently on standby.

Romano wrote:

“Barcelona’s stance has not changed: total priority to Nico Williams, no other signing will be activated until they get final answer from Nico. Contacts took place for Dani Olmo but nothing will happen or advance until Nico deal is clarified. Same for João Cancelo.”

Williams is one of the best young talents in La Liga, hence purchasing a player of his qualities would be a great acquisition for Barcelona if they eventually manage to secure his signature before the end of this window.

Chelsea have reportedly submitted a formal proposal to sign Villarreal star Filip Jorgensen this summer, as per the transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The West London club spent almost £1B over the last few transfer windows but they have been relatively subdued this summer. However, they have already made a few new additions with Marc Guiu, Tosin Adarabioyo, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Renato Veiga being among them.

It is believed that the Blues will continue reinforcing their squad over the coming weeks and are now planning to bolster the goalkeeping department by signing Jorgensen.

Chelsea already have Roberto Sanchez and Dorde Petrovic, however, with Kepa Arrizabalaga set to leave the club, Enzo Marezca is now planning to sign a new shot-stopper to replace the Spaniard.

Writing on X, Romano has reported that Chelsea have stepped up their efforts to sign the Dane after opening talks with the player’s representatives with the 22-year-old ‘keen’ on moving to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea submit bid to sign Jorgensen

The journalist further claims that Marezca’s side have already tabled a £17m proposal to acquire his service and it is now going to be interesting to see whether the Spanish side eventually accept the offer.

Romano wrote:

“Chelsea send first bid in the region of €20m to Villarreal for Filip Jorgensen! It follows talks on player side as revealed earlier this week; he’s on the list as potential new GK for Maresca. Jorgensen, keen on the move.”

Despite having Petrovic and Sanchez at their disposal, Chelsea are willing to spend a fee of around £17m for a new goalkeeper. So, this suggests that Marezca is looking to sign the Scandinavian as the first-choice option rather than backup.

The Italian boss likes to deploy a possession-based system and he needs goalkeepers – who are comfortable with the ball at his feet to implement his style. Therefore, perhaps, Chelsea have identified the Villarreal star – who can play out from the back – as the primary target.

It is going to be interesting to see whether Chelsea can eventually manage to secure his signature and if they were to do that then how the 22-year-old performs in the Premier League next season.

West Ham United have reportedly launched a bid to sign Al Ittihad ace N’Golo Kante this summer, as per the transfer expert David Ornstein

Despite enjoying great success under David Moyes, winning the Europa Conference League, the Hammers opted to part ways with the Scotsman at the end of last season.

After letting the former Manchester United boss leave, the East London club have decided to appoint Julen Lopetegui as the new manager and the Spaniard has been looking to make a squad overhaul before the start of next season.

West Ham have already purchased Max Kilman, Luis Guilherme and Wes Foderingham, however, they have also been linked with numerous other names.

But, writing on The Athletic, Ornstein has reported that the Hammers are now considering signing Kante to reinforce their engine room in this transfer window.

West Ham considering signing Kante

The journalist further claims that the Premier League club have already submitted a verbal £15m proposal but Al Ittihad have rejected it as they don’t want to let their star man leave for anything less than £25m.

Ornstein says that the Saudi Arabia club don’t want to sell the World Cup winner with the player happy to remain in the Middle East, therefore, West Ham may find it difficult to get this deal done.

After showcasing his qualities for Leicester City, the 33-year-old joined Chelsea. The Frenchman enjoyed success with the Blues but after struggling with fitness problems, he was allowed to leave the club as a free agent before signing for the Saudi club.

However, Kante has showcased in the recently concluded European Championship that he still is an excellent player, although he isn’t playing in a top league at the moment.

Therefore, Kante would be a shrewd acquisition for West Ham should they acquire his service. However, it is going to be interesting to see whether Lopetegui’s side eventually manage to purchase him in this transfer window.

Meanwhile, having finished ninth in the Premier League last season, it remains to be seen how West Ham perform under the former Real Madrid manager’s guidance next campaign.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly ‘advancing in talks’ to sign Napoli star Victor Osimhen this summer, as per the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Nigerian has enjoyed success at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium over the last few years after joining from LOSC Lille. He has established himself as a talismanic figure for the club, helping his team win the Scudetto after more than three decades.

So, it has been reported that having showcased his qualities in the Italian top-flight, Osimhen is willing to leave Napoli this summer to take a new challenge in his career.

Arsenal have been suggested as a potential suitor for him. But, it now looks like PSG are going to be his most likely destination should he eventually leave Napoli over the coming weeks.

Writing on X, Romano has reported that PSG have opened talks with the player’s representatives to persuade him to join and are ‘advancing in talks’ over the deal.

PSG in negotiations to sign Osimhen

The journalist further claims that PSG have identified Osimhen as a priority target to bolster their attacking department with the player keen on moving to the Parc des Princes.

Romano wrote:

“Paris Saint-Germain are advancing in talks with Victor Osimhen’s camp as their interest is now getting concrete. Osimhen, keen on joining PSG and open to the move if they can agree on deal/fee with Napoli. He’d be very high on PSG list, if one centre striker left.”

It has been reported that Osimhen has a £113m release clause included in his current contract and it is going to be interesting to see how much money the Azzurri demand to sell their star man.

Following Kylian Mbappe’s departure as a free agent, Les Parisiens are reportedly willing to splash big money in this transfer window to reinforce their squad and challenge on all fronts next season.

Osimhen is a proven striker and has displayed his qualities at the highest level in recent years. It has even been touted that the African is one of the best strikers in the world.

Therefore, he would definitely be a great coup for PSG if they eventually manage to acquire his service ahead of next season.

Everton have reportedly opened negotiations with Napoli to sign Jesper Lindstrom this summer, as per the transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

The Toffees displayed promising performances under Sean Dyche last term but due to the point deduction having been found guilty of breaching the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules, they found themselves in danger of relegation.

However, in the end, they managed to survive comfortably, accumulating 40 points and staying 14 points ahead of the relegation zone.

Everton would be hoping to improve on their 15th-place finish next season and in order to help Dyche do that, they have already started working on signing to bolster the squad.

They have already purchased Iliman Ndiaye and Tim Iroegbunam to strengthen the centre-forward and the engine room respectively, but it now appears the Merseyside club are planning to add reinforcements to the flanks.

Everton in talks to sign Lindstrom

Writing on X, Romano has reported that Everton have identified Lindstrom as the top target and have already ‘opened talks’ with Napoli to get the deal done.

The journalist further claims that the Azzurri are open to selling their star player, hence the Toffees can manage to acquire his service in this transfer window.

Romano wrote:

“Everton have opened talks with Napoli to sign Jesper Lindstrøm as winger is next top target. Negotiations underway, Napoli are open to selling Jasper in case of good proposal, Everton on it.”

The Dane joined Napoli last summer following a successful spell at Eintracht Frankfurt, therefore he still has four years left in his current contract. So, Antonio Conte’s side are in a strong position to demand a large sum to sell the forward – who’s valued at around £18.5m by Transfermarkt.

The forward is a quick player and previously showcased his qualities at the highest level, helping Frankfurt win the Europa League. So, although he failed to find his feet at Napoli, he could be a shrewd acquisition for Everton should they sign him.

However, it remains to be seen whether the Merseyside club can eventually manage to acquire his service in this transfer window to strengthen the attacking department.

Juventus are reportedly planning to sign OGC Nice star Jean-Clair Todibo this summer, as per the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano

After appointing Thiago Motta as the new manager, the Bianconeri are looking to revamp their squad in this transfer window to hand the Italian boss the necessary tools to achieve success next season.

The Old Lady of Turin have already signed Michele Di Gregorio and Douglas Luiz, while Khephren Thuram is very close to joining the club. In addition, Juventus also want to add a few more new faces with Teun Koopmeiners being mentioned as a key target.

However, it appears Motta also wants a new centre-back ahead of next season and Todibo is on his wish-list.

Writing on X, Romano has reported that Juventus have identified the Nice star as one of the targets to bolster their backline and have already opened talks over this deal.

Juventus interested in signing Todibo

The journalist further claims that Manchester United were also interested in him and were very close to acquiring his service, but UEFA have banned the Red Devils from getting the deal done due to the same ownership issues.

Romano states that West Ham United have already seen a £30m bid rejected by Nice for the defender, therefore Juventus will have to spend a fee more than that to lure him to the Allianz Stadium.

Romano wrote:

“Jean Clair Todibo, one of several names on Juventus shortlist for new centre back as contacts took place in the recent days. Nice already rejected €35m from West Ham, price tag’s higher. Man United are 100% out of the race after deal almost done; blocked by UEFA rules.”

Speculation surrounding the Frenchman’s future has started to emerge as he is ready to leave the French club to take the next step in his career.

Todibo is a ball-playing centre-back and is also efficient in defensive contributions. So, considering Motta likes to deploy a possession-based style of football, the 24-year-old would be an excellent option to play under the Italian boss.

Hence, it is going to be interesting to see whether the Old Lady of Turin can eventually manage to acquire his service in this transfer window. What do you think will Todibo be a good option for Juventus?

Chelsea have reportedly agreed on a deal in principle with FC Basel to sign Renato Veiga this summer, as per the transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Blues have been busy in this transfer window as they have already purchased Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Guiu and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, in addition, they have sealed the deal for in-demand Brazilian youngster Estevao Willian, but he won’t be joining before next summer.

It seems Chelsea also wanted to bolster their backline by signing a new left-footed defender and initially registered their interest in Riccardo Calafiori of Bologna.

However, Arsenal are closing in on a deal to sign the Italian after agreeing on personal terms with him. So, after finding it hard to lure Calafiori to Stamford Bridge, the West London club have decided to move quickly and sign Veiga from Basel.

Writing on X, Romano has reported that Chelsea have agreed on a deal with the Swiss club to sign the Portuguese and they’ll pay a fee of around £12m[€14m]. No bonuses or sell-on clauses have been included in this deal.

Chelsea seal Veiga deal

The journalist further claims that the 20-year-old will sign a long-term contract with Chelsea until 2032 and he will now undergo medical before the deal gets finalised.

Romano wrote:

“Renato Veiga, set to undergo medical as new Chelsea player. Portuguese talent to sign contract valid until June 2032. Chelsea will pay €14m to Basel and there will be no add-ons or sell-on. Veiga could also play as fullback in Chelsea plans. Exclusive story, confirmed.”

The youngster, standing at 6ft 2in tall, is a left-footed defender – who can play in the centre-back position as well as in the left-back role. Additionally, he can provide cover in the engine room if required.

The 20-year-old is quick and extremely comfortable with the ball at his feet. He also can dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas and is efficient in defensive contributions.

Veiga is a highly talented player and could be an excellent bargain acquisition for Chelsea, hence, it remains to be seen how the youngster performs in the Premier League next season.

Brighton and Hove Albion have reportedly opened ‘talks’ over a deal to sign Feyenoord midfielder Mats Wieffer this summer, as per the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano

After parting ways with Roberto De Zerbi following a promising two-year spell, the Seagulls have decided to appoint Fabian Hurzeler as the new boss. The 31-year-old enjoyed an excellent season with FC St Pauli last term, helping the German club secure their top-flight status.

So, it seems the Swiss man’s promising performances in the 2. Bundesliga has attracted the attention of Brighton, hence they have decided to make him their new manager.

The South Coast team is likely to make moves in this transfer window to improve on their 11th-place finish in the Premier League next season. They have already purchased Yankuba Minteh from Newcastle United to bolster the attack but are seemingly also planning to reinforce their midfield department.

After cashing-in on Moises Caicedo last summer, Brighton opted to purchase Carlos Baleba but he hasn’t been able to settle down in his new surroundings yet therefore, signing a more experienced midfielder could help him develop quickly.

Brighton in talks to sign Wieffer

Writing on X, Romano has reported that Brighton are interested in Wieffer and have already opened talks with the player’s representatives before getting any potential deal done for him.

The journalist further claims that after agreeing on personal terms, the Seagulls will start negotiating with Feyenoord with Hurzeler already approving the move.

However, Romano reports that AC Milan are also eyeing a move for Wieffer, hence it is going to be interesting to see whether Brighton can eventually manage to acquire his service by beating the Rossoneri in this race.

Romano wrote:

“Brighton have started talks with Mats Wieffer’s agents as he’s been included in club shortlist, one of several players also monitored by AC Milan. Brighton have started talks on player side, waiting to advance with Feyenoord. Hürzeler has approved Wieffer.”

Wieffer is valued at around £26m by Transfermarkt and he still has three years left in his current contract so the Eredivisie giants could demand a sizable amount of money to let the 24-year-old leave the club this summer.

Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement with Boca Juniors starlet Aaron Anselmino to lure him to Stamford Bridge this summer, as per the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano

The Blues have shown their capabilities of signing excellent players in recent transfer windows, however, they haven’t been able to translate that excellence on the pitch.

After finishing 12th in the 2022-23 season, they managed to show some improvement but it wasn’t enough as they ended in sixth position last campaign. So, it was thought that the West London club would be busy in this transfer window to strengthen the squad and they have already started doing that.

Chelsea have already signed Tosin Adarabioyo as a free agent, while Marc Guiu is set to join the club from Barcelona. In addition, Todd Bohley’s Chelsea have signed young talents from South America in recent time as they have already purchased Kendry Paez but Willian Estevao is another youngster who is set to move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea close to signing Anselmino

Now, the Blues are looking to sign another youngster from the same continent with Anselmino emerging as a serious option. The 19-year-old previously linked with a move to Manchester United, but it is Chelsea who are now pushing to acquire his service.

Writing on X, Romano has reported that Anselmino has already reached an agreement with Chelsea regarding the personal terms to join the club and Enzo Marezca’s side are currently in talks with Boca Juniors to seal the deal as quickly as possible.

It has been reported that the youngster has a £21m release clause included in his current contract and Chelsea have already submitted a proposal worth around £14m. So, it remains to be seen how much the Stamford Bridge club will eventually spend to secure his signature this summer.

Anselmino is a ball-playing centre-back and is an extremely talented player. So, he would be an excellent acquisition for the Premier League club should they acquire his service in this transfer window.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly in ‘concrete talks’ to sign Feyenoord star Lutsharel Geertruida this summer, as per the German football expert Florian Plettenberg

Although Les Parisiens have lost Kylian Mbappe for free, they have saved a huge amount of money and it has been reported that Luis Enrique’s side are looking to invest that to strengthen the squad this summer

The French giants’ primary objective is to win the Champions League but despite spending a fortune over the last decade, they haven’t been able to achieve that yet.

PSG will be hoping to become Europe’s best despite losing Mbappe next season so they are said to be looking to add reinforcements with Geertruida emerging as a serious option.

Writing on X, Plettenberg has reported that PSG have already opened talks with the player’s representatives to persuade him to join the club and the two parties have been in ‘concrete talks’ in recent days.

PSG looking to sign Geertruida

The journalist further claims that Geertruida’s current contract is set to expire at the end of next season so Feyenoord are ready to let him leave this summer and are prepared to accept a fee of around £21m.

Plettenberg states that clubs from Bundesliga and Premier League have also expressed their interest in signing him but PSG are ‘likely’ to beat their rivals in this race.

Plettenberg wrote:

“There have been concrete talks between Lutsharel Geertruida and Paris Saint-Germain on player’s side! Understand his move to PSG is currently more likely than a move to the Bundesliga or the Premier League. Price valuation for the 23 y/o right back around €25m. Contract with Feyenoord valid until 2025.”

The Netherlands international is comfortable playing in the centre-back position as well as in the right-back role. He is quick, strong, good in the air, comfortable playing out from the back and also excellent in defensive contributions.

He is a talented player and has showcased his qualities for Feyenoord in the Eredivisie in recent years. So, he would be a shrewd acquisition for PSG to reinforce their backline should they acquire his service.

However, it is going to be interesting to see whether Enrique’s side can eventually manage to secure his signature in this transfer window.
