Manchester City have made enquiries about Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, according to reports in the German media.
The likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be interested in the Nigerian but it appears the Premier League champions are very much in the race for the player.
Fans on Twitter are slightly confused about the links to Osimhen. With Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez already at the club, there seems to be no need for another number nine and some are worried about the potential implications:
Where is he going to play? RW?

Osimhen is undoubtedly an outstanding player, having racked up 21 goals in 27 appearances so far this season but, as many supporters have pointed out, there is no place to fit him in.
It does raise some concerns about Haaland‘s future if an approach is seriously being considered for Osimhen, but it’s probably not worth contemplating that scenario at this stage, with no sources suggesting that the Norwegian is unhappy at the Etihad.
