Alan Shearer Praises Bruno Fernandes’ Heroics in Manchester United’s FA Cup Triumph Over Arsenal

by Alex Mathews January 13, 2025
written by Alex Mathews

Bruno Fernandes played a massive role in Manchester United’s dramatic win over Arsenal in the Third Round of the FA Cup. The Portuguese star, who joined United back in 2020 for £46.7 million (Sky Sports), has often faced criticism, but he silenced doubters with a brilliant performance.

Fernandes opened the scoring with a stunning goal and showed nerves of steel to convert his penalty in the shootout, helping United secure their spot in the next round.

Under manager Ruben Amorim, Fernandes has shown his quality in big games. Whether it’s against Manchester City, Liverpool, or Arsenal, the 30-year-old midfielder has been stepping up when it matters most. Against Arsenal, Fernandes looked determined and delivered a captain’s display.

Alan Shearer Praises Fernandes’ Work Rate

Legendary striker Alan Shearer couldn’t hold back his admiration for Fernandes. Speaking on BBC Sport, Shearer said, “Bruno Fernandes has worked so hard, he has had to do a lot of tracking back as well as getting that wonderful goal.”

This performance highlighted Fernandes’ all-around game, showing he’s not just a creator but also willing to put in the hard yards defensively.

Fernandes played a crucial role both offensively and defensively. His six ball recoveries, six defensive actions, and one crucial tackle showcased his tireless work rate. Fans have often questioned Fernandes’ performances in high-pressure matches, but his display against Arsenal proved he can deliver under pressure.

Fernandes Back in Top Form

After a dip in form under Erik ten Hag last season, Fernandes seems to have regained his rhythm. He has flourished under Amorim’s guidance, looking sharper and more confident in recent games. His stats against Arsenal paint a clear picture of his impact:

  • Minutes Played: 120+
  • Goals: 1
  • Successful Dribbles: 4/5
  • Passes into the Final Third: 7
  • Recoveries: 6

Fernandes’ ability to combine attacking creativity with defensive discipline has made him a key player for United this season.

A Bright Future Ahead for United and Fernandes

Manchester United fans will hope Fernandes continues his excellent form as the season progresses.

His determination and leadership could prove vital if United aim to retain the FA Cup and compete on multiple fronts.

With Fernandes in this kind of form, the Red Devils look well-equipped to handle tough challenges ahead. For now, his heroics against Arsenal have given fans a reason to believe.

Talks held: Man Utd Now Determined to do Everything Possible to Sign “Complete” Star this Month

by Alex Mathews January 11, 2025
written by Alex Mathews

Manchester United are looking to solve their problems of finishing this season by targeting French forward Randal Kolo Muani.

The Red Devils are on the market for Muani who currently plays for Paris Saint-Germain and is hot on the market as other teams are also looking to sign him.

With the current performance statistics, however, not in their favor, Manchester United will have to move quickly if they want to sign him.

Man United’s Goal Troubles

It is common knowledge that Manchester United has struggled to score in this season.

Their Premier League standing is 13th, and they have only scored 23 goals in 20 matches, making them one of the least successful teams in the league.

In comparison, Liverpool has scored more than twice that amount of goals which is a surprising statistic.

Fewest goals scored this season:

  • Southampton: 12
  • Everton: 15
  • Ipswich: 20
  • Crystal Palace: 21
  • Manchester United: 23

The club’s striking elements have not been up to the mark. Rasmus Hojlund has only netted two goals, and summer signing Joshua Zirkzee has netted only three goals.

Even Marcus Rashford, the joint top scorer with 4 goals, hasn’t played for over a month as he might be leaving the club soon.

It has become all too apparent why United needs to strengthen its attack with these struggles.

United Target “Complete” Striker

Randal Kolo Muani has become the main priority for United during this winter transfer window. The 26-year-old attacker who plays for PSG previously starred for Eintracht Frankfurt.

However, he has failed to secure enough playing time in Paris and is said to be on loan or available for a permanent transfer.

Sky Sports has reported that Manchester United are “determined to do everything possible” to sign him. The club is keen on a loan deal with an option to buy in the summer.

However, this would mean covering a significant chunk of his £200,000-a-week wages.

The French forward has registered only ten appearances for PSG this season, scoring two and assisting once.

He hasn’t played in four of their most recent games, it is evident that his tenure in Paris is nearing completion.

Kolo Muani is a reputable character. His French teammates Antoine Griezmann and Matteo Guendouzi have both commended him as a “complete” striker.

One of Griezmann’s remarks regarded his potent aerial threat, his dribbling ability, and the skill to occupy hostile territory behind defending players.

Race to Sign Kolo Muani

Manchester United aren’t the only club chasing the forward. Chelsea, Aston Villa, Tottenham, Juventus, and AC Milan are all reportedly interested.

This means United must move quickly to secure his signature. If United manage to sign Kolo Muani, it could be a big boost for their season.

The Frenchman has the skills to bring goals back to Old Trafford and help the Red Devils climb the Premier League table.

Whether they can beat the competition remains to be seen, but fans will be hoping for good news soon.

Man Utd Willing to Offer ‘Very Bad’ Star in Swap Deal to Sign £62 million Hitman – Report

by Alex Mathews January 8, 2025
written by Alex Mathews

Marcus Rashford has faced a tough season at Manchester United, struggling to find form under new boss Ruben Amorim.

Once a key player, the 27-year-old forward has been in and out of the team, with critics questioning his performances.

Football legend Marco van Basten even labelled Rashford as “very bad” last October.

Amorim’s experiments with attackers like Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Højlund have left Rashford sidelined at times.

Reports now suggest Rashford is open to leaving, and Napoli, led by Antonio Conte, are keen to sign him.

A swap deal involving Rashford could help both clubs meet their goals.

Osimhen: The Missing Piece for United

Video by: F11 Comps

Victor Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has emerged as a top target for Manchester United.

Known for his goal-scoring abilities, the Nigerian striker is valued at £62 million but may be acquired for less if Rashford is included in the deal.

United are keen to strengthen their attack while cutting down their wage bill, making this potential swap a win-win.

However, while a January move seems unlikely due to Osimhen’s current success in Turkey, a summer deal is more realistic.

For United, Osimhen could fill the gap in their attack and help them rebuild for the future.

He Was Saved by Amad: Amorim Must Instantly Drop 4/10 Man Utd Dud Who Was Shocking – Opinion

by Alex Mathews January 6, 2025
written by Alex Mathews

Manchester United earned a thrilling 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Anfield, breaking their recent poor form.

The Premier League leaders were stunned as United held their ground with strong defence and sharp attacking play.

A key factor in the game was a tactical tweak from manager Ruben Amorim.

The switch from a 5-2-3 to a 5-4-1 formation helped United clog Liverpool’s midfield, making it tough for the Reds to dominate.

Football analysts praised this smart move as it kept United in the game.

Goals That Lit Up the Match

Lisandro Martinez opened the scoring for United with a powerful strike past Liverpool’s goalkeeper Alisson.

However, Liverpool hit back with Cody Gakpo’s equalizer and a penalty from Mohamed Salah, putting the home side 2-1 up.

With only 20 minutes left, United faced an uphill battle. But as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer once said, “Mountains are there to be climbed.”

That spirit shone through when Amad Diallo netted a brilliant goal, securing a crucial point for United.

Amad’s Star Performance

Amad Diallo was the standout player for United. The 22-year-old scored a well-taken goal, meeting a perfect cross from Alejandro Garnacho to beat Alisson in the far corner.

Amad’s stats from the game are impressive. He had 42 touches, completed 93% of his passes, and won three out of five ground duels.

His defensive work was also top-notch, with diligent tracking back noted by journalists.

Amad now has 3 goals and 5 assists under Amorim in just 12 games – a remarkable contribution for the young Ivorian.

De Ligt’s Mixed Night

While Amad shone, Matthijs de Ligt had a tough game. The Dutch defender was involved in two moments that led to Liverpool’s goals.

He was beaten by Gakpo for the first goal and conceded a penalty for handball, allowing Salah to score.

De Ligt’s stats were a mixed bag. He completed 83% of his passes and won four out of seven duels but managed just one successful tackle and gave away a costly penalty.

Critics were quick to highlight his struggles, with many calling for changes in United’s defence.

Yoro’s Late Impact

Leny Yoro came off the bench late in the game and made a crucial tackle to deny Darwin Nunez a clear chance.

The 19-year-old’s solid performance has sparked discussions about whether he should replace De Ligt in the next match.

What’s Next for United?

Amorim faces big decisions ahead of the FA Cup clash against Arsenal. With Amad in sparkling form and De Ligt under pressure, the team’s lineup will be closely watched.

Can United build on this spirited performance? Fans will hope so as they push for success in the coming weeks.

Report: ‘Elite’ Man Utd Star has Fallen out with Amorim, He Wants to Leave this Month

by Alex Mathews January 4, 2025
written by Alex Mathews

Joshua Zirkzee’s career at Manchester United hasn’t been smooth sailing.

The Dutch striker did seem to hit the ground running having scored on his debut, but now it is four out of five games without a goal.

After all, his performance in a 2-0 defeat against Newcastle United where he was pulled out during the halftime was a far cry from expectations, and that has escalated Zirkzee’s conflict with head coach Ruben Amorim.

As per the Zirkzee bit of the media report, he just rolled his eyes at Amorim and walked off to the tunnel.

Having scored just 3 goals in 19 appearances during the year, there is every sign that he is in the last days of being at the club.

Falling Out with Amorim and Possible Exit

Following the altercation, reports suggest that Zirkzee’s bond with Amorim has soured.

Due to the player’s self-doubt and lackluster displays, it has not taken long for the speculations of him leaving the club early to start.

The 23-year-old enjoyed a productive and impressive campaign in Italy while on the books of Bologna but his transfer to Manchester United hasn’t panned off.

His former coach, Thiago Motta now at Juventus, is said to be keen on having the winger back in Serie A with Napoli following suit.

With the transfer of Zirkzee most likely to take place in the winter transfer window, United may wave him goodbye soon.

Amorim has ‘No Faith’ in £44m Man Utd Star with 22 y/o Replacement Already Lined Up

by Alex Mathews January 1, 2025
written by Alex Mathews

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim appears to have run out of patience with goalkeeper Andre Onana following a string of disappointing performances.

Onana, who joined United for £44 million from Inter Milan in the summer of 2023, initially impressed fans but has struggled under Amorim’s leadership.

His recent mistakes, including costly errors in a 3-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest, have raised doubts about his ability to lead United’s defense.

Verbruggen Emerges as a Target

Brighton’s Bart Verbruggen has now caught Amorim’s eye as a potential replacement for Onana.

The 22-year-old Dutch goalkeeper has been in fine form since joining Brighton from Anderlecht for £16.3 million.

Verbruggen has made 51 saves in 17 Premier League matches this season and is known for his excellent passing ability.

Reports suggest Manchester United might have to pay £30 million to secure his services, but Amorim sees him as the ideal fit for his vision.

Defensive Struggles for United

Manchester United’s defensive issues have been evident under Amorim, with the team conceding 21 goals in just 11 games.

Both Onana and backup goalkeeper Altay Bayindir have faced criticism for failing to provide stability at the back.

Amorim’s focus on signing Verbruggen highlights the need for a reliable and commanding presence in goal to help United recover from their poor start to the season.

A Fresh Goalkeeping Start

Signing Verbruggen could mark a fresh start for Manchester United’s goalkeeper department.

His skills as a ball-playing goalkeeper align well with Amorim’s style, and his consistent performances for Brighton prove he can handle pressure.

As the January transfer window approaches, fans are eager to see if Amorim can secure this crucial signing and bring much-needed stability to United’s struggling defense.

Manchester United Confirmed Squad vs Newcastle as Big Marcus Rashford Decision Made

by Alex Mathews December 30, 2024
written by Alex Mathews

Manchester United has announced their squad for the upcoming Premier League match against Newcastle United.

Marcus Rashford is set to return, having been absent from recent matchday squads, including the victory over Manchester City.

Manager Ruben Amorim confirmed that Rashford’s omission was due to “selection” rather than disciplinary reasons.

Key Players Missing Due to Suspensions

The team will miss the services of Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte, both suspended for the Newcastle match.

This suspension leaves United with limited senior options. Amorim is expected to make a few changes to the starting XI, and Rashford may start on the bench as a result.

Injury and Squad Adjustments

With injuries impacting United’s lineup, Toby Collyer will retain his place in the matchday squad, and Godwill Kukonki has also been spotted arriving at Old Trafford.

The squad includes key players such as Andre Onana, Lisandro Martinez, Diogo Dalot, and Casemiro, as well as new faces like Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee.

The Match Ahead

As Manchester United looks to secure a strong result against Eddie Howe’s Newcastle, all eyes will be on how Amorim adjusts his squad in the absence of some key players.

Man United Star Set to Exit: £150k-a-Week Midfielder Not in Manager’s Plans

by Alex Mathews December 29, 2024
written by Alex Mathews

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United are poised to release their Danish midfielder during the summer transfer window.

The midfielder, who earns £150,000 per week, joined the club from Brentford in 2022, but has failed to get more outings under Ruben Amorim.

His contract, which ends in June 2025, does not have an extension offer on the table from the Red Devils.

Due to Amorim’s system’s demands, the midfielder is not in the immediate plans. Therefore, his chances of getting extended playing time have been few and far between.

January Exit Uncertain Despite Interest

During the summer transfer window, the Spaniard Real Betis made attempts to recruit the player.

However, an agreement was never attained due to disagreements on certain aspects. Whilst January is an option for the Manchester fc, more likely he would be expecting to sign for the club for free after the contract comes to an end.

Further, with the club sitting 14th position in the league and facing some suspension to key players, it is tough for the Red Devils in different games in the league, this provides further impetus and adds a level of urgency to United on making the decision on the midfielder in January.

Man Utd Ready to Secure £50m January Transfer for Casemiro’s Replacement, INEOS Give Green Light

by Alex Mathews December 26, 2024
written by Alex Mathews

Manchester United are reportedly planning a £50 million move for Atalanta midfielder Ederson, aiming to rejuvenate their midfield by finding a successor to Casemiro.

Ederson: The Target

Ederson, a 25-year-old Brazilian midfielder, has been instrumental in Atalanta’s impressive performances in Serie A.

His dynamic play has attracted interest from top Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Newcastle, and Manchester City.

However, Manchester United are keen to secure his services to strengthen their midfield options.

https://youtu.be/6dd52w2dlYI?si=RZxIzxxu2b0sw403

Casemiro’s Declining Form

Casemiro, who will turn 33 in February, has struggled to maintain the high standards he set during his time at Real Madrid.

His recent performances have lacked the dominance expected in the defensive midfield role, prompting United to seek a long-term replacement.

INEOS Backs the Move

The potential transfer has received backing from INEOS, Manchester United’s minority shareholders, who are prepared to invest in the squad’s future.

The £50 million valuation reflects Ederson’s importance to Atlanta and his potential impact at Old Trafford.

Competition for Ederson

Manchester United face competition from other Premier League clubs for Ederson’s signature.

The club’s proactive approach in the January transfer window indicates their determination to secure the midfielder ahead of rivals.

Strategic Midfield Overhaul

This potential signing aligns with Manchester United’s strategy to rejuvenate their midfield with younger talent.

The club aims to build a squad capable of competing at the highest level, and acquiring Ederson would be a significant step in that direction.

Jadon Sancho Set to Stay at Chelsea While Christopher Nkunku Eyes Barcelona Move

by Alex Mathews December 25, 2024
written by Alex Mathews

Chelsea fans are in for some exciting updates as Jadon Sancho shines on loan and Christopher Nkunku’s future raises questions. Here’s the latest on these two key players.

Sancho Finds His Form at Chelsea

Jadon Sancho has finally started to show his true potential at Chelsea after a tough time at Manchester United.

The 24-year-old winger joined the Blues on loan in August and has been making an impact in recent games.

Sancho scored two Premier League goals this month, proving he can be a dangerous player on the pitch.

Sancho’s loan deal with Chelsea includes an obligation to buy him for £25 million at the end of the season.

While loan-to-buy agreements can sometimes face complications, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has assured fans that Sancho will stay in blue.

According to Romano, there is no chance of Sancho returning to Manchester United, even with their new coach, Ruben Amorim.

The agreement between Chelsea and Manchester United was set in stone in August.

Chelsea is also covering most of Sancho’s salary during the loan, ensuring everything aligns with Financial Fair Play rules.

The Blues see Sancho as a key part of their plan to return to Champions League football by 2025.

Fans can expect to see the winger continue to shine at Cobham and beyond.

Nkunku’s Agent Talks to Barcelona

While Sancho’s future seems settled, Christopher Nkunku’s situation is less clear.

The Frenchman has had an excellent start to the season, scoring 12 goals in all competitions.

However, he often finds himself playing second fiddle to Nicolas Jackson in the Premier League.

Reports suggest that Nkunku’s agent, Pini Zahavi, has reached out to Barcelona about a possible transfer.

The Catalan club reportedly has a good relationship with Zahavi, and Nkunku is said to be open to taking a wage cut to join them.

However, a move in January might be difficult due to Barcelona’s financial challenges.

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has acknowledged that Nkunku is best suited to playing as a No.10, but the team’s current tactics don’t always allow him to play in his ideal position.

Maresca admitted that balance is key to Chelsea’s setup and hinted that Nkunku’s role might not change soon.

With Chelsea unlikely to let go of such a valuable player easily, his future remains uncertain.

What’s Next for Chelsea?

As the January transfer window approaches, Chelsea’s focus will be on strengthening their squad while managing the futures of key players like Sancho and Nkunku.

For now, fans can enjoy Sancho’s resurgence and hope Nkunku continues to deliver on the pitch.

Stay tuned for more updates as Chelsea prepares for a busy second half of the season!
