Man Utd Push for £50m Bundesliga Star as Real Madrid Love – Talks Underway!

by Alex Mathews February 7, 2025
written by Alex Mathews

Manchester United are already planning for the summer transfer window as they look to fix their problems after a season full of ups and downs.

With new boss Ruben Amorim looking to reshape the squad, reports say United are eyeing a move for Bundesliga talent Hugo Larsson.

United made a few moves in the January transfer window, bringing in Patrick Dorgu to strengthen the left-back position and young talent Ayden Heaven from Arsenal.

However, the club didn’t sign any major attacking players despite their struggles in front of goal.

Amorim was linked with Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich, but the deal didn’t go through as Bayern refused to include a buy option. Instead, Tel joined Tottenham Hotspur.

United’s current forwards have only managed 11 goals in 65 appearances this season, showing that attacking reinforcements are badly needed.

While United’s focus has been on improving the attack, reports now suggest Amorim is also looking to strengthen the midfield with a move for Frankfurt’s Hugo Larsson.

United Set Sights on Hugo Larsson

The 20-year-old Swedish midfielder has impressed at Eintracht Frankfurt since joining from Malmo FF.

This season, he has scored four goals and provided one assist in 29 games.

His ability to create chances and control the midfield has caught the attention of many top clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester United have reportedly already made contact with Larsson’s representatives as they explore the possibility of signing him.

Frankfurt are willing to sell if the price is right, with the young star valued at around €60 million (£50 million).

Hugo Larsson’s Stats (2024/25 Season)

  • Chances Created: 15
  • Pass Accuracy: 89%
  • Successful Passes: 588
  • Cross Accuracy: 66.7%

United Need to Refresh Their Ageing Midfield

One of United’s biggest issues is their ageing midfield. Casemiro and Christian Eriksen are both past their best and cost the club around £500,000 per week in wages.

Their performances have not been good enough, and the club is looking for younger, more energetic players.

Larsson could be the perfect solution. He is still early in his career, full of energy, and can add creativity to United’s midfield.

Under the new INEOS ownership, United are moving away from signing big-name players on high wages and instead focusing on young talents who can grow with the team. Larsson fits this strategy perfectly.

Man Utd Claimed they Secured Future of ‘One of the Best in the World’ at his Position, It’s only Aged One Way

by Alex Mathews February 5, 2025
written by Alex Mathews

Manchester United’s decision to award Luke Shaw a new contract in April 2023 seemed like a sign of confidence in the player’s ability.

After a successful 2022/23 season, where Shaw played 47 matches and was a key figure in the team’s success, the club hailed him as one of the best defenders in the world.

However, this decision has backfired, leaving the club and Shaw stuck in a frustrating cycle.

Shaw’s Importance and the Contract Decision

Shaw’s contract extension was a reflection of his crucial role in United’s return to success under Erik ten Hag.

His consistent performances helped the team secure Champions League qualification and end a long trophy drought.

At the time, the club’s director of football, John Murtough, praised Shaw for his hard work and growth into one of the world’s best defenders.

However, this would prove to be a premature statement.

Since the contract extension, Shaw’s playing time has drastically reduced. In the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons, Shaw has only played 1,278 minutes, a far cry from his impressive 3,646 minutes the previous season.

The injury-prone defender has struggled to maintain form and fitness, making his high wages of £150k-£200k per week a heavy burden for the club.

Stuck in a Cycle

United and Shaw find themselves in a repetitive cycle of hope, setback, and frustration.

The club’s faith in Shaw’s potential has yet to pay off, and the contract, which was once seen as a positive move, has become a challenge.

With no clear suitors interested in taking Shaw off United’s hands, the club is left hoping that Shaw can rediscover his form and fitness, which earned him such high praise just two years ago.

Manchester United’s decision to extend Shaw’s contract has not panned out as expected.

The club is now facing the consequences of tying themselves to a player who has struggled with injuries and consistency.

Only time will tell if Shaw can turn his fortunes around and live up to the expectations placed on him.

Amorim keen: Man Utd Target £50 Million Star Who Scored at Old Trafford This Season

by Alex Mathews February 3, 2025
written by Alex Mathews

Manchester United are reportedly targeting Bournemouth’s young defender, Dean Huijsen, for a £50 million transfer.

The 19-year-old, who joined Bournemouth in the summer, has impressed with his performances in the Premier League.

In 18 appearances this season, Huijsen has started 13 games, scored 2 goals, and contributed to 5 clean sheets.

His solid defensive stats, including 1.6 interceptions and 1.3 tackles per game, have made him an attractive prospect for United, who see him as a long-term investment in their defense.

Competition and Bournemouth’s Price Tag

While Manchester United are keen on signing Huijsen, they face competition from Paris Saint-Germain, who are also interested in the young defender.

However, Bournemouth are under no pressure to sell, as Huijsen is contracted until 2030.

The Cherries have placed a £50 million price tag on the player, which may make the deal difficult.

Despite this, Manchester United remain hopeful of securing the signing, seeing Huijsen as the ideal reinforcement for their defense alongside experienced players like Lisandro Martínez and Harry Maguire.

INEOS Plot Late Man Utd Move for “Future Ballon d’Or Winner”, He’s Better than Nkunku – Opinion

by Alex Mathews January 30, 2025
written by Alex Mathews

Manchester United are looking to bring in fresh talent before the transfer window closes, and their latest target is a young attacker from Lyon.

The club, now under the management of Ruben Amorim, is hoping to strengthen the squad as they struggle for form in the Premier League.

United Want to Sign Lyon’s Young Star

Reports suggest that Manchester United have made an enquiry for a highly-rated 21-year-old attacking midfielder from Lyon.

The youngster has been on the radar of top clubs for some time, with Liverpool also interested in signing him.

Lyon, facing financial struggles, are open to selling the player for around €22m (£18m). This could be a bargain deal for United as they look to add creativity and skill to their attack.

The player’s ability to play both in midfield and on the wings makes him a strong option for the club.

Comparison with Christopher Nkunku

Another player United are reportedly interested in is Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku. However, stats suggest that the Lyon youngster may actually be the better option.

  • The young attacker from Lyon has been involved in 13 goals and assists in 24 games this season.
  • His total record for Lyon is 55 goal involvements in 165 games.
  • He has a better record in dribbles, creative passes, and attacking moves compared to Nkunku.

While Nkunku is known for his goal-scoring ability, the Lyon star offers more creativity and attacking movement.

With Nkunku struggling with injuries and inconsistent performances, United might see the Lyon player as the better choice.

Man United Need Attacking Boost

Manchester United have struggled in attack this season. With Marcus Rashford’s future uncertain and Antony leaving for Real Betis, the team needs fresh options.

Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have only managed five Premier League goals between them, which is not enough for a team aiming to compete at the top level.

Adding the Lyon youngster could bring much-needed creativity and energy to the squad.

He has been called a “generational talent” by experts, and United could benefit from securing him before other top clubs make a move.

Will United Make the Move?

With the transfer deadline fast approaching, it remains to be seen if Manchester United will finalise the deal.

The club has been slow in making signings this window, and fans are growing frustrated.

However, if United manage to bring in the Lyon star, it could be a smart and exciting move for the club’s future.

United Set to Finally Land €75m Star in Sensational Free Transfer Next Year, Contact Already Made – Report

by Alex Mathews January 29, 2025
written by Alex Mathews

Manchester United are reportedly planning to sign Frenkie de Jong on a free transfer in 2026.

The Dutch midfielder has been a long-term target for the club, and despite interest in 2022, a move never happened.

Under Erik ten Hag, United have continued to monitor De Jong, but injuries and a lack of regular game time at Barcelona have made his situation complicated.

Barcelona’s wage structure is also struggling due to De Jong’s huge salary, leaving the club in a difficult position to manage its finances and sign new players.

Reports suggest that Barcelona may be willing to let him leave, especially as he does not fit into the team’s future plans.

United Ready to Offer Big Deal to De Jong

Manchester United are looking to take advantage of De Jong’s contract situation, as his current deal with Barcelona runs until 2026.

Although Barcelona would like to extend his contract and sell him for a higher price, De Jong is determined to wait until his deal expires so he can leave for free and secure a lucrative contract elsewhere.

United have reportedly already contacted his agent, asking him to reject any new proposals from Barcelona, and have even offered a €15 million signing-on bonus.

The Red Devils believe De Jong would be a valuable addition to their midfield, and they are ready to make a big move in 2026.

Agreement Reached: Report Claims Man Utd and INEOS have Deal in Place with “Monster” £33m Target

by Alex Mathews January 27, 2025
written by Alex Mathews

Manchester United are reportedly close to finalizing a deal for Lecce’s promising left wing-back Patrick Dorgu.

While the Red Devils have already made two offers, both of which were rejected by Lecce, negotiations are ongoing with personal terms already agreed.

Lecce reportedly seeks €40 million (£33 million) for Dorgu, but United are working on a deal that includes additional bonuses to meet Lecce’s demands.

United’s Need for a Left Wing-Back

Man United have struggled with a lack of depth in the left-back position for a while, especially with injuries affecting Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia’s potential loan move.

Dorgu’s versatile playing style and both defensive and attacking contributions make him an ideal fit for United’s needs.

Dorgu’s Impressive Stats

At 20 years old, Dorgu has already established himself as a solid performer in Serie A, starting in all 20 of his appearances for Lecce this season.

With 3 goals and 1 assist to his name, he’s shown his offensive qualities, while also contributing defensively with an average of 2 tackles per game.

United’s continued negotiations reflect their desire to reinforce this key position before the close of the transfer window.

With his strong performances in Italy, Dorgu could be just the player United need to strengthen their squad.

Man United’s Surprise Move: Could a £45m Summer Signing Head to Old Trafford in January

by Alex Mathews January 25, 2025
written by Alex Mathews

Manchester United are considering a late move for Joao Felix in the January transfer window.

The Portuguese forward has struggled for consistent game time at Chelsea, leading to speculation that he could move elsewhere.

Felix, capable of playing in various attacking roles, could provide United with much-needed creativity and depth in the final third.

Chelsea Struggles and Limited Opportunities

At Chelsea, Felix has failed to secure a starting position under manager Enzo Maresca.

Despite a solid spell at Barcelona last season, where he contributed 16 goals, Felix has not been able to replicate that form at Stamford Bridge.

His limited involvement in the Premier League could prompt a change in scenery.

https://youtu.be/57e3cUrSZW4?si=ERyLjkqb7T0NdbIr

Jorge Mendes’ Influence on the Deal

Joao Felix’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has strong ties with Manchester United.

Mendes played a role in bringing several key players to Old Trafford, such as Bruno Fernandes.

His connection to the club could be crucial in pushing Felix’s potential move, especially considering United’s need for more attacking firepower.

Will the Deal Happen?

United’s current squad has shown signs of weakness in attack, with Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Højlund struggling to find consistency.

While a move for Felix could address these concerns, the financials around his wages and the short-term nature of the deal could make the transfer complex.

Man Utd Set to Sign £60m ‘Perfect’ Striker as Amorim Targets Ambitious Double Transfer Deal

by Alex Mathews January 20, 2025
written by Alex Mathews

Manchester United are looking to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers, after the striker impressed during their recent 2-0 win over the Red Devils.

The 25-year-old has been in fantastic form this season, scoring 10 goals in 20 Premier League games.

Cunha’s performance on Boxing Day was particularly remarkable, as he scored directly from a corner and assisted Hwang Hee-chan for another goal, helping Wolves secure a big victory.

Wolves Boss Praises Cunha’s Talent

Wolves manager Vitor Pereira has praised Cunha’s abilities, calling him a “perfect” player. Pereira believes Cunha has the qualities to decide a game and is a real asset for any top club.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Pereira said, “He is fast with the ball, unpredictable, and can create something special. He has everything a creative player needs.”

Pereira also added that if Cunha eventually moves to a bigger club, he would be happy for the striker. He said, “If one of my players is the best player in the game, I am very happy.”

This support from the Wolves manager will surely boost Cunha’s chances of making a big move in the future.

Video by: FS Scout

United and Arsenal Competing for Cunha

Manchester United are not the only club interested in Cunha. Arsenal are also keeping an eye on the striker, with Mikel Arteta’s side having shown interest earlier this month.

However, United appear to be in pole position to sign the player, with manager Ruben Amorim keen on strengthening his attacking options.

Cunha would provide a much-needed boost to United’s forward line, especially to help Rasmus Højlund. The striker has experience in top-flight football and is capable of making a big impact in matches.

However, United are currently in a tough financial situation, so they might have to wait until the summer to make their move, especially given Cunha’s £60 million price tag.

United Considering More Transfers

United’s transfer plans are not just limited to Cunha. They are also eyeing a new left-back and have entered talks with Lecce for 20-year-old talent Patrick Dorgu.

Dorgu has been linked with a move to other Premier League clubs, but it seems United is now in a strong position to bring him to Old Trafford.

United are also looking to offload some of their high-earning players, with Antony reportedly heading to Real Betis on loan for six months.

This will allow the club to raise funds for future signings, including possibly Cunha, who could be a key player in their attack next season.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Manchester United’s pursuit of Cunha and other players will continue to be a major talking point for fans and pundits alike.

Man Utd Player Ratings: Amad Shines with Hat-Trick Heroics While 8/10 Star Secures Dramatic Comeback

by Alex Mathews January 16, 2025
written by Alex Mathews

Manchester United persevered and defeated Southampton with a score of 3-1 and who was eager to shine, Amad Diallo. The Red Devils started slowly in the match, suffering a self-scored goal but thankfully Amad Diallo managed to pull through and redeem the team, earning them 3 much-needed points.

Even after the victory, Ruben Amorim will still have some doubts regarding the team’s overall consistency.

Video by: NBC Sports

Andre Onana – 8/10

The United goalkeeper ensured that his team remained in the match after twenty minutes of play by making an astonishing double save. Even though he conceded a goal himself, he showed impressive reflexes throughout the game, further demonstrating his considerable skill.

Leny Yoro – 2/10

Yoro faced a lot of difficulties with Sulemana’s pace which ultimately led to him having an off day. He made a lot of mistakes, simply because he lacked the confidence to perform well as a defender.

Matthijs de Ligt – 5/10

The Dutch defender managed a handful of decent tackles and clearances, but once again he failed to deliver on what was expected of him. His performance had a degree of assuredness to it, but it was by no means authoritative.

Lisandro Martinez – 4/10

Martinez was rather average in this game as it was unlike his usual self. He didn’t seem to be sharp and he couldn’t be on the defensive side of things so he must’ve been a bit out of it.

Amad Diallo – 9/10

Diallo was the star of the night and he never shied away from trying to help United out. He finally got his goal after his initial cross deflected off a defender into the net followed by two power-packed strikes to score his hat trick. Definitely an eye-catching show that deserves all the accolades.

Noussair Mazraoui – 5/10

Mazraoui struggled offensively to contribute to the team when playing out of position on the left, clearly feeling discomfort which restricted United from fully showcasing their attacking potential.

Manuel Ugarte – 5.5/10

There was some bad luck that caused Southampton to score first, but Ugarte did put in some effort in midfield. However, I think he can do better.

Kobbie Mainoo – 4/10

The kid was easily outperformed by the Southampton offence and lost a great opportunity to score. Replaced at half-time for tactical reasons.

Bruno Fernandes – 4/10

A very disappointing game from the captain who could not continue the form he has shown recently. His passing was lackadaisical while his decision-making was also not as sharp.

Alejandro Garnacho – 4/10

Garnacho’s early chances were squandered during a crucial time period which affected the overall flow of the game. He was able to demonstrate moments of greatness but fell short at the end.

Rasmus Hojlund – 2/10

Notably, Hojlund did not do much in this match, nor did the fans have much to cheer about. He showed no intention or ability to take any duels, and neither was he able to hold up play.

Substitutes

Antony – 3/10

Came on at halftime but failed to deliver. A missed chance summed up his struggles, and he’s yet to prove his value to the team.

Joshua Zirkzee – 7/10

Zirkzee came off the bench as the injection of impact that was required. He combined well with other players in assisting United to perform better in the second half of the game.

Toby Collyer – 6/10

Provided some additional sparkle in midfield and put in some solid work with his distributions as well. A decent substitute performance.

Harry Maguire – 5.5/10

Although Maguire was a little bit jumpy at times, he did quite well in securing the defence. Moving forward he might prove to be a pivotal figure.

Christian Eriksen – 7/10

Eriksen’s insight into the game and his extensive knowledge shone brilliantly, providing Amad with a masterclass on how to score goals, resulting in United being on the front foot.

While Diallo’s hat-trick did help Manchester United in securing all three points, one cannot deny that the team’s overall performance was not very great. Defensive issues and underperforming players are just the tip of the iceberg, United have a lot more problems and so does their manager Ruben Amorim.

‘Here we go’ – Man Utd ‘Target’ Accepts Loan Offer as Serie A Giants Win Race

by Alex Mathews January 15, 2025
written by Alex Mathews

Manchester United’s pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) striker Randal Kolo Muani has encountered a significant setback, as the French forward appears poised to join Juventus on loan.

Despite interest from several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, Kolo Muani has reportedly chosen the Italian giants for more consistent playing time.

Kolo Muani’s Career Journey

Randal Kolo Muani, 26, began his professional career at Nantes, where he showcased his physicality, speed, and goal-scoring abilities. His impressive performances earned him a move to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga, where he continued to develop and gained international recognition with the French national team.

In 2024, PSG secured his services for nearly £80 million, anticipating that he would become a key figure in their attacking lineup.

Video by: SVMM

Limited Opportunities at PSG

However, Kolo Muani has struggled to secure regular playing time at PSG, making only 14 appearances this season. The presence of established stars like Kylian Mbappé and Gonçalo Ramos has limited his opportunities, leading to frustration over his role at the club.

This situation has prompted him to seek a move where he can play more consistently and continue his development.

Juventus Loan Move

Juventus has emerged as the frontrunner to secure Kolo Muani’s services on a loan deal. The Italian club is keen to bolster its attacking options and views Kolo Muani as a valuable addition.

Reports indicate that the player is intrigued by the prospect of playing in Serie A and has accepted Juventus’s loan offer.

Implications for Manchester United

Manchester United’s interest in Kolo Muani was part of their strategy to strengthen their attacking lineup. With this development, the club will need to explore alternative options to enhance their forward line.

The January transfer window remains open, and Manchester United may turn their attention to other targets to address their offensive needs.

Randal Kolo Muani’s anticipated loan move to Juventus signifies a missed opportunity for Manchester United. The Red Devils will now need to reassess their transfer strategies as they seek to reinforce their squad for the challenges ahead.
