Joshua Zirkzee’s career at Manchester United hasn’t been smooth sailing.

The Dutch striker did seem to hit the ground running having scored on his debut, but now it is four out of five games without a goal.

After all, his performance in a 2-0 defeat against Newcastle United where he was pulled out during the halftime was a far cry from expectations, and that has escalated Zirkzee’s conflict with head coach Ruben Amorim.

As per the Zirkzee bit of the media report, he just rolled his eyes at Amorim and walked off to the tunnel.

Having scored just 3 goals in 19 appearances during the year, there is every sign that he is in the last days of being at the club.

Falling Out with Amorim and Possible Exit

Following the altercation, reports suggest that Zirkzee’s bond with Amorim has soured.

Due to the player’s self-doubt and lackluster displays, it has not taken long for the speculations of him leaving the club early to start.

The 23-year-old enjoyed a productive and impressive campaign in Italy while on the books of Bologna but his transfer to Manchester United hasn’t panned off.

His former coach, Thiago Motta now at Juventus, is said to be keen on having the winger back in Serie A with Napoli following suit.

With the transfer of Zirkzee most likely to take place in the winter transfer window, United may wave him goodbye soon.
