by Alex Mathews September 16, 2024
written by Alex Mathews

Manchester United are reportedly in talks to sign Ousmane Dembele from Paris Saint-Germain next year.

The French winger, who joined PSG in 2023, is open to a Premier League switch, making him a key target for the Red Devils in 2025.

United are planning future transfers and have identified the need for a winger, with Dembele seen as a potential replacement for Antony, who has struggled since his arrival.

United’s Transfer Plans for 2025

United have already begun outlining their transfer strategy for the summer of 2025.

According to reports, the club aims to bring in a defender, a midfielder, and a winger to bolster the squad.

Dembele, who has impressed with his early performances this season, has caught United’s eye due to his skill, speed, and creativity on the field.

Despite his mixed first season at PSG, Dembele has shown his quality with three goals and three assists in just four Ligue 1 appearances this term.

The 27-year-old moved to PSG from Barcelona after the French club triggered his €50 million release clause.

Now, he seems ready for a new challenge in the Premier League, with Old Trafford potentially his next destination.

Talks between United and Dembele’s representatives have reportedly started, though it’s still early days.

Erik ten Hag’s Current Focus

While the idea of Dembele joining United is exciting, manager Erik ten Hag is currently focusing on developing Amad Diallo, who has made a strong start to the season.

The young Ivorian has already scored and assisted in his first three Premier League appearances, showing he could be a long-term solution for United’s right-wing position.

Amad’s recent performance against Southampton, where he created the most chances on the pitch, has given Ten Hag confidence in his potential.

However, with United always looking to improve, Dembele’s addition would add valuable depth and experience to the squad.

Future Moves on the Horizon

United fans will be eager to see how these transfer plans unfold.

The club’s proactive approach in targeting top talent like Dembele shows their commitment to building a squad capable of challenging for major honors.

For now, supporters will watch closely as negotiations develop, hoping that the French winger could soon wear the famous red shirt of Manchester United.

Only time will tell if this ambitious move becomes a reality, but one thing is clear, united are already planning for a brighter future with top talents like Dembele in their sights.

Manchester United fans are eager to see new talent emerge, and Toby Collyer is quickly becoming a name to watch.

With the club struggling last season, finishing eighth in the Premier League and exiting the Champions League early, standout moments were few and far between.

However, the emergence of young stars like Kobbie Mainoo gave fans hope, and now Collyer is following in his footsteps.

Collyer recently caught the eye of manager Erik ten Hag with impressive training stats that even rival Bruno Fernandes.

Described as “freakish”, his running numbers in training have turned heads and earned him praise from both coaches and teammates.

Ten Hag, who is known for promoting young talent, seems to be a fan of Collyer, giving him a chance to shine during a tough match against Liverpool.

Rising Through the Ranks

Collyer’s journey began when he joined Manchester United from Brighton in 2022.

Since then, he has been steadily working his way up, showing determination and skill.

His recent Premier League debut, replacing Casemiro, was a true test, but Collyer handled it well.

“I got a message yesterday” – Andy Mitten shares worrying behind-scenes Man Utd claim he’s heard

by Alex Mathews September 3, 2024
written by Alex Mathews

Manchester United’s manager Erik ten Hag has come under heavy fire following the 3-0 defeat to Liverpool.

Both critics from within and outside football described Manchester United’s tactics as “criminal”. Flaws in team setup and in preparation, they pointed out.

United’s Struggles Continue

Goals from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah hinted that United with their brittle defence.

Ten Hag’s side has suffered several heavy defeats, causing doubts about his ability to bring crucial games to a successful conclusion.

While it’s true that he has won titles, a persistent inability to upset leading teams even in this era of frequent modern sport suggests such problems within Ten Hag are deeply ingrained and need fixing urgently.

Big Losses Haunt Ten Hag

In the space of two years, United have experienced no fewer than seven significant defeats.

These include setbacks against rivals like Liverpool and Manchester City.

But Ten Hag, by sticking with his tactics and not varying them for crucial matches, has simply made matters worse for himself.

In order to reverse United’s fortunes he must come up with answers soon or it is all over for him at Old Trafford.

Casemiro was dreadful, but this man was the real reason for United’s humiliating defeat against Liverpool

by Alex Mathews September 1, 2024
written by Alex Mathews

Manchester United faced a crushing 3-0 defeat to Liverpool, and fans angry. Check out how the players performed during this disastrous match.

Poor Show from United’s Stars

Andre Onana (5/10) – Onana should have stopped Liverpool’s second goal. His passing was shaky, and he couldn’t make those crucial saves.

Lisandro Martinez (3/10) – Martinez had a tough day, making errors in defence. A sloppy pass of his saw United almost another goal.

Casemiro (1/10) – Disappointing, did not look like his usual self. Two critical mistakes in the first half led directly to Liverpool’s goals. He could not handle it and his passing was terrible. It is difficult to realize that he was a superstar just last year.

Disappointing Attack

Bruno Fernandes (3/10) – He didn’t make a difference. He had openings to make things happen but every final ball was wrong.

Marcus Rashford (3/10) – Too little threat to the Liverpool defense. He was largely nowhere to be found throughout the game.

Joshua Zirkzee (2/10) – This was a nightmare of a game for him and one he needs to learn from. All he did was lose the ball and make shockingly wrong choices in critical instances. He also progressed a little in the second half, but nothing was good enough.

Manager’s Mistakes

Erik ten Hag (1/10) – Ten Hag had his tactics all wrong. United never got in gear, and his choices were part of the problem. Some concern will naturally arise considering that Amad has been benched, despite being named Player of the Month. His substitutions had minimal effect on the game, and he was booed for taking Garnacho off.

This match showed just how far United are from the top. Not only are the players out of form, even some decisions from a managerial perspective haven’t gone that right after all. And if it doesn’t get better, this could be a very long season for Manchester United.

written by Alex Mathews

Largie Ramazani’s transfer to Leeds United is now very close to being declared as official business, the Belgian winger having been seen at the club’s training ground apparel suggesting a final announcement is imminent.

During the week, the 21-year-old, who was at Almeria last season, was pictured on one of these exercise bikes at Thorp Arch.

That news set pulses racing among fans. The news comes after Ramazani was reported to have flown into West Yorkshire on August 21 and taken a medical with Leeds to sign a £8 million plus deal with the Spanish club.

A Vital Week for Leeds United Transfers

Pictures of Ramazani in Leeds colors show just how near his signing is. Leeds sold Crysencio Summerville to West Ham and Georginio Rutter to Brighton, the club now need some cover.

Ramazani will be rather obvious once the window closes on 30 August, more talent should be playing for Leeds.

Leeds United’s Transfer Strategy

Ramazani’s potential arrival is only just the beginning and they could be making even more signings in the next few days.

The club is looking at Roland Sallai and Manuel Benson as options for its front line.

Fans are looking forward to seeing how Leeds use the money from recent departures of players, and the arrival of Ramazani signals a precedent for further signings.

Imagine him & Ampadu: Leeds battling to sign £7m “absolute baller”

by Alex Mathews August 21, 2024
written by Alex Mathews

Preoccupied with a big match against Sheffield Wednesday Friday, Leeds United’s attention is being split in half.

Throughout all the excitement of the summer transfer window, one name starting some noise is Manchester United talented youngster Hannibal Mejbri.

https://youtu.be/L8IS2VfOySY?si=OkJfuZbsdftDBE9-

Leeds’ Transfer Challenges

Daniel Farke, Leeds United’s manager, has seen several major members leave the team during this summer transfer period.

Crysencio Summerville, Archie Gray and Glen Kamara are gone and Georginio Rutter also departed, meaning there is a serious gap up front as well as at center-back now.

To remedy these gaps, Leeds has already brought Joe Rodon, Alex Cairns, Joe Rothwell, and Jayden Bogle.

Although with the transfer window set to close soon Leeds continues to look for talent especially in midfield.

Hannibal Mejbri: A Promising Target

Hannibal Mejbri, a young midfielder with Manchester United, has attracted the attention of Leeds.

According to reports, Leeds are competing with Burnley for this Tunisian international. Burnley holds the advantage at the moment, with negotiations already underway.

They want to bring Hannibal on loan with a mandatory purchase clause at the end of the season amounting to £7 million.

However, if Leeds can swoop in and secure Hannibal’s signature before the transfer window closes, It might be a game-changer for the club.

Hannibal could forge a strong partnership with Ethan Ampadu in the  heart of Leeds’ midfield, providing both insight and artistry to match Ampadu’s defensive rock.

Why Hannibal Could Be the Perfect Fit

Ethan Ampadu has quickly settled into the Leeds team. The versatile player, signed from Chelsea, has even played in defense or midfield positions as required.

His defensive statistics are good, with a high success rate in both ground and aerial duels. But Ampadu isn’t known for creativity, which is where Hannibal could make an impact.

During the 2022/23 season he spent on loan at Birmingham City, We have seen Hannibal’s occasional flashes of invention.

He played 38 times in the Championship and was singled out for his skill in creating opportunities.

His stats in assists and key passes made him one of the leading players of his position in that particular league.

With Hannibal alongside Ampadu, Leeds might have a balanced midfield. Ampadu would be responsible for holding down the fort and Hannibal would provide a touch of creative spark.

Hannibal’s thrusting and goal-making abilities could be just what Leeds need this season in order to go up.

The Clock is Ticking

The deadline for transfers is next Friday, and Leeds United only has a short time left to get it done.

For their promotion dreams, signing Hannibal Mejbri could be absolutely crucial.

Although Burnley are currently leading the race to sign him, Leeds may still be able to overtake them and bring this young talent to Elland Road.

With Leeds United’s game against Sheffield Wednesday coming up, fans will also be keeping an eagle eye on the transfer market and hoping that their club can snatch Hannibal Mejbri before the window shuts.

If they do, this long shot might turn into a successful bet that helps them gain promotion.

‘Electric’ attacker an unused sub for second successive match after reports Leeds United want to sign him

by Alex Mathews August 17, 2024
written by Alex Mathews

Leeds United have less than a week to complete all their new transfers business by Wednesday’s match against Sheffield.

Despite a stronger defensive performance, Leeds struggled offensively without Georginio Rutter, managing only one shot on target.

Joel Piroe filled the hole left by Rutter in the number 10 position, but he had a bad game.

Manager Daniel Farke mentioned the need for four position improvements, with two in the attacking third.

Manuel Benson on Leeds’ Radar

Leeds United are studying various options for strengthening their attack, and Burnley’s Manuel Benson is already an important one.

Benson, who has a reputation for quickness and creativity, has been linked with Elland Road.

But as an unused substitute in Burnley’s recent 4 to 0 win over Cardiff, he is well within Leeds’ sights.

Burnley’s willingness to part with Benson means they may be tempted in the coming days.

The addition of a player like Benson would not only inject some creativity into the rightwing but also make it more dangerous.

Farke’s Transfer Strategy

Daniel Farke, manager of Leeds United, wants to add more creativity for Leeds. So Ben Jacobs, a journalist, can confirm that Benson is the player he sees as being able to provide both goals and assists.

Leeds, However, Leeds may face competition from Norwich City, who could enter the race if they lose Jonathan Rowe.

Finally, as the transfer window draws to a close and a new season begins, Leeds United is working hard on a move for Benson that will beef up their firepower and give them a better chance of doing well in these upcoming matches.

Player now in talks to renew contract – Leeds United have tried to sign him, chances look over

by Alex Mathews August 16, 2024
written by Alex Mathews

Leeds United have been busy this summer, trying to strengthen their team as they aim to return to the Premier League. One target they made an offer for was Largie Ramazani, a young winger from Belgium.

Leeds are keen to sign him hoping he can be the missing piece in a puzzle that sees them aiming to get back into the top flight.

Ramazani’s Current Situation

But now, things look bleak for Leeds United. According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Largie Ramazani is in negotiations for a new contract with his current club UD Almeria.

This news provides a blow to Leeds, who had been fighting to bring in new blood before the transfer window closes.

Other Clubs Interested

It is not just Leeds United who have been interested in Ramazani. Turkish club Besiktas and Greek outfit AEK Athens are also looking for his signature.

Despite the other clubs having shown an interest in signing him, Ramazani seems set on staying at Almeria for now.

Almeria’s Situation

Last season it was a tough time for UD Almeria. Following a disappointing finish in Spain’s top division, they were relegated from La Liga back to La Liga 2.

Despite the drop Almeria’s management are anxious to retain their key personnel and Ramazani features largely in this thinking.

Ramazani’s Career So Far

Largie Ramazani, now 23 years old, has had a promising career to date as a winger. In 31 games for Almeria he has netted 4 goals and provided 5 assists.

Before joining Almeria, Ramazani was part of Manchester United’s youth system, having come through Charlton Athletic’s academy.

However, he didn’t make it into their first team and in 2020 joined Almeria as a free agent.

What This Means for Leeds United

If Ramazani stays at Almeria, Leeds United will have to look elsewhere for new signings. Their chances of a return to the Premier League this season all depend on whether they can make some crucial signings in the last few weeks of the transfer window.

Leeds fans ’ eyes will be on what targets the club picks out from here on in with great interest.

Looking Ahead

As the transfer window’s deadline approaches, Leeds United will be hoping they can pick up some key signings that would give them a better chance of promotion. Losing out on Ramazani is a setback but not the end of the world.

The club needs to move fast and intelligently piece together other talented players who can help to return them into the Premier League.

Largie Ramazani’s decision to renew his contract with UD Almeria is a key development in this summer’s transfer market. Leeds United made an offer for the player, revealing their ambition to get into the top flight.

They now have to look for fresher targets. With the transfer window closing soon, Leeds must make the right moves to strengthen their squad for next season.

After De Ligt: Man Utd plotting move for £30m “monster” who’s way better than Berge – opinion

by Alex Mathews August 12, 2024
written by Alex Mathews

Manchester United’s season got underway last Saturday with a narrow defeat to Manchester City in the Community Shield.

However, the team did display potential with fans eager to see new additions arrive.

Of the high-profile players said to be on their way at Old Trafford, perhaps one of them is Matthijs De Ligt, but another name thrown into the mix recently was Sander Berge.

Sander Berge: A Talent but Not a Game-Changer?

The Norwegian midfielder, Sander Berge has also been recently touted as a Manchester United transfer target.

Now Berge is obviously a good player, but the feeling amongst others that he might not be exactly what we need to push on.

His performance has been solid, but many believe there are better options available.

Youssouf Fofana: A More Impressive Option

https://youtu.be/D11Onx4IBmI?si=s_yly-dG18xMQU7D

Recent reports suggest that Manchester United are now focusing on Youssouf Fofana from AS Monaco.

Football Insider claim that ten Hag is eager to recruit a midfielder this summer, and Fofana has caught the eye at Monaco.

Although Fofana is also eyeing a switch to Italian giants AC Milan, Odd tells us United will have to respond with a convincing bid if they want his signature.

Why Fofana Stands Out

Fofana has been brilliant with Monaco based on his abilities. Last season, managed 35 appearances and grabbed four goals and made another four assists.

This means he produced a goal or assist every 4.37 matches. In contrast, Sander Berge scored just two goals and made two assists in 40 appearances for Burnley, averaging a goal or assist every ten games.

The Cost and the Decision

Fofana would reportedly cost up to £30m in transfer fees. As substantial a sum as it is, plenty think Fofana would still be worth more than Berge’s signing.

All of which combine to validate him as a worthwhile addition for Manchester United. It is further said that it would be a wise investment by United if they could land Fofana for the amount, as he clearly boosts their midfield significantly.

Youssouf Fofana is amongst the best targets for Manchester United as they look to bolster their squad. His impressive performances for AS Monaco and his ability to contribute both defensively and offensively make him a more appealing option than Sander Berge.

At £30m, Fofana may not be cheap but he is good value for money for United and appears to fit the profile they are looking at. If the club could bring him in, it should prove a major boost to their chances of an ultimately successful  season under Erik ten Hag.
