Where do Scotland go now after nightmare opener?

by Alex Mathews June 15, 2024
written by Alex Mathews

Scotland were handed a humiliating 5-1 beating by hosts Germany in their opening game at Euro 2024.

The Scots were on the big stage for the first time since 1998, but their hopes were over by the interval as Sweden all but secured their quarter-final place.

A Tough Night in Munich

Scotland was awful. They shipped five, had a man sent off and did not even manage to muster up a shot on target.

Captain Andy Robertson said in midweek “We just got it all wrong really, it wasn’t us, we didn’t show up.” They now face a tough battle to get out of the group

Key Issues and Possible Changes

Scotland were hugely disappointing, while Germany were sparkling.

Angus Gunn played others but was among a number of players to have poor games, according to former Scotland winger Neil McCann.

Another former player, Steven Thompson, said Scotland seemed “scared” on the ball.

So boss Steve Clarke may now have to think tactically. Billy Gilmour deserves to start; should Gunn be in goal?

Scotland need to be more direct and positive and get more players forward, says Ally McCoist

Looking Ahead

Although defeat leaves Scotland with two games in which to at least force their way into the play-offs.

They must now lick their wounds ahead of a clash with Switzerland and Hungary.

Clarke demands four points to progress onwards, with the team now needing to turn the page and get better from this defeat

The message from Clarke is one of “Keep the faith” as fans come to terms with yesterday’s news.

It’s not over yet and Scotland must now show their mettle in the next match, which will be crucial in order to progress.

Michael Olise’s Chelsea exit explained as club open talks with Crystal Palace over £60m transfer

by Alex Mathews June 15, 2024
written by Alex Mathews

Chelsea have been linked with a £60 million move for the skilful and self-assured Michael Olise.

The winger broke through at Chelsea academy aged 14 before moving on to Manchester City and Reading and making a big impression but at 22, he remains a free agent.

At Crystal Palace, he also scored 10 goals and provided six assists last season, form that has not gone unnoticed by the likes of Bayern Munich and Manchester United.

Olise’s Journey

Olise came through Chelsea’s academy but left to join Manchester City at 14 and then Reading.

He did take off on loan at Reading, where he excelled, wining the EFL Young Player of the Season award for 2020/21.

His £8 million buy-out clause meant that Rogic had been keen on playing in the Premier League eventually, but for that sort of money, he was picked up by Crystal Palace instead.

Chelsea’s Interest

Chelsea are now interested in re-signing Olise, however, as they are said to be aware of just how he has progressed and could offer them the chance to add more quality to their squad.

This would be a big statement made by the club.

David Moyes claims Declan Rice is worth £150m as he hails Arsenal star as a future England captain

by Alex Mathews June 15, 2024
written by Alex Mathews

David Moyes has claimed Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice is worth more than £150 million.

With the impact he brings to the team, not to mention how central he is to West Ham’s recent success, Moyes feels Rice is worth even more.

Moyes’ High Valuation of Rice

West Ham boss David Moyes said that Rice was one of the finest players he knows right now, that he is ‘almost certainly the best player in England just now’ and admitted that he had been ‘a miss’ for them ever since his switch to Arsenal.

Evening Standard, via Caught Off Side, the 57-year-old said “The £105 million Arsenal could’ve bought Declan for last summer” well that can only be £200 million now if you are going to buy him today.

Impact on West Ham and Arsenal

West Ham lost their inspirational midfielder in Rice, which has played havoc on their defense, as they started to leak goals far more often.

Rice’s defensive cover alongside his on-field leadership, were two components that Moyes insisted were vital for the team.

Meanwhile, Rice has gone on to shine at Arsenal, establishing them as front-runners for the Premier League crown.

Future Implications

Moyes’ words mirror the wider market, in which English players of the highest rank are attracting significant sums.

The statement is also a warning to suitors that they are going to have to pay a lot of money for anyone with so much talent, as well.

West Ham’s struggle in Rice’s absence hammered home his importance to any side he is a part of, with Moyes’ £150 million valuation appearing justified in the context of the footballing world at large.

How To Draw Cristiano Ronaldo | Master the Art 2024

by Alex Mathews June 14, 2024
written by Alex Mathews

Art is not just a creative process, it is an experience of releasing your mind to create anything you can imagine.

If you love art and football, creating your art inspired by your favorite sport can be very motivating.

Well fear no, today we show you how to draw one of the greats in world football in the form of Cristiano Ronaldo

At the end of this blog post, you will not only have honed your drawing abilities, but you will also find a new level of understanding of the influence Ronaldo has held in the football world and popular culture.

The Therapeutic Benefits of Drawing

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=as5gBkPH274&ab_channel=AnasArtAcademy

Art, in its own way, can have the therapeutic value of enjoying a meditation.

Drawing = Draw instead of stress, drawing helps you relax and relieves anxiety because your mind is concentrated on the creative realization.

It comes with a feeling of retardedness as you watch your skill grow each new day.

It not only lifts your mind but brightens up your spirit and improves cognitive and motor skills.

Drawing is a rewarding activity that entices those who have been illustrators for years and new doodling novices.

Why Cristiano Ronaldo?

Cristano Ronaldo is a household name for football fans all over the world.

Ronaldo was born on February 5, 1985 in Madeira, Portugal, and is a sports icon in the world as well as pop culture.

He has cemented his place as one of the best footballers of all generation, with several awards to attest to that, the Ballon d’Or among them, and not less than five of the latter.

An inspiring, dedicated, full of pure class and energy, representing role models for Artists all around the world.

Getting Started with Basic Shapes

The first step is to create the basic shapes that make up Ronaldo’s body before you draw Ronaldo.

This is a base layer that will enable you to keep the proportions right and the symmetry throughout the drawing.

Step 1: Outline the Head

Start with an oval for the head of Ronaldo. Just make sure it is a little longer with a brush to suit his different face.

Draw a vertical and horizontal line in the middle of the oval so that it is divided into four.

These guidelines will assist you in placing his facial features correctly.

Step 2: Draw the Torso

Draw a rectangle for the body under the head.

Do remember Ronaldo has an athletic physique! A narrower waist combined with broader shoulders will show off his muscles.

Follow the guidelines with light-coloured lines to be sure to erase when any alteration is required.

Step 3: Add the Limbs

Then add some basic lines for the arms and legs.

When you are drawing them, think about using spheres as joints and still drawing the limbs the right proportions to the torso.

It is a key step because it allows you to keep the dynamic poses of Ronaldo.

Detailing Ronaldo’s Facial Features

With the basic shapes established, it is time to add some elements that everyone should associate immediately with Ronaldo.

Eyes and Eyebrows

One of the most striking aspects of Ronaldo are his eyes.

In the step above, I mark eye lines where almond-shaped eyes are drawn on the horizontal guideline of the head.

Put small circles in their centres for their eye pupils, making sure they are equidistant.

His eyebrows, making his already intense expression even more so, are quite dark, and as sheet as mine.

Nose and Mouth

Draw a straight line down from the middle of each eye to find the nose.

Ronaldo has a fine smaller nose with a little bump at the top of the nasal bridge.

Mouth: Draw a horizontal line between the nose and chin.

These are framed beneath lip that are full but not overly pouty, often cocked into a smirking leer.

Hair and Ears

Throughout the years, Ronaldo has tried different haircuts but always short and styled hair.

Begin by outlining the hairline by drawing a line that starts from the middle of the forehead and curves around the head.

Draw the hair texture with short strokes. Ears would come out in line with the eyes and drop way down to the nose.

Capturing Ronaldo’s Dynamic Pose

The difficult part in drawing Ronaldo is drawing his poses because they are all so dynamic.

He is passionate on the field, celebrating goals or dribble past defenders with his lively exuberance.

Step 1: Choose a Pose

Think about how you will pose like Ronaldo.

One favourite is his trademark ‘Siii’ goal celebration, where he jumps and stretches out his arms.

Find images to help you out

Step 2: Sketch the Action Lines

Detail the action in your drawing with these action lines.

They should be moving with the direction of Ronaldo’s body from his head right down to his feet.

Take notice of those lines that express movement of the angles and curves.

Step 3: Add Muscle Definition

That extreme physicality is an integral part of who Ronaldo is.

Now draw some muscles in the arms, legs and torso with some curved lines.

You will have a drawing that is more realistic and full of movement.

Tips for Facial Expressions and Iconic Gestures

Cristiano Ronaldo has as many celebrated mad facial expressions and gestures as he does dim-melting football skills.

However, those are the details that if captured well, will make your drawing come alive.

Conveying Emotion

The eyes and mouth of Ronaldo are key to showing emotions.

When he celebrates a goal or when he is angry or disappointed, his face is aggressive.

Emphasise on the eyes and add a little wrinkle near eyes for expression.

Iconic Gestures

Ronaldo is known for his signature gestures from pointing to the sky to celebrating with his teammates.

Incorporating such gestures on your drawing can really bring it to life.

Observe how the hands and fingers are placed.

Adding Final Touches

When you are happy with your drawing as a whole, go back over your lines with a darker pencil or pen.

Get rid of any guidelines that are not required.

Shade your drawing to give it depth and dimension.

Pay special attention to the face, muscles, and clothing folds.

Conclusion

When you draw as a hobby, nothing excites you more than sketching your favourite football player, especially when it comes to the famous Cristiano Ronaldo.

By following these steps and tips, you would not only improve on drawing but also get to create an art of one of the greatest footballers of our time.

If you like you could share your Ronaldo drawings with us and be part of our artistic community.

If you are an experienced artist or a complete noob, every drawing you make is a step closer to being better than you were before.

How Tall is Messi | Fan Guide 2024

by Alex Mathews June 13, 2024
written by Alex Mathews

One of the greatest footballers ever, Lionel Messi has left fans awestruck with his incredible ability and unrivalled commitment to the game of football. Well, one common question that comes to mind is his height.

Despite standing shorter than so many giants of the game, Messi is the biggest and the best there is.

So, in writing this post we will look into the truth regarding Messi as regards to his height, and how it has affected his gameplay and his football career as a whole.

Introduction to Messi as a Renowned Footballer

Lionel Messi, regarded by many as the best football player ever, and his legacy are very telling.

Messi was just 17 when he began the first of five seasons on top of the world as the world’s best player in 2009 and he was born with talent.

He only launched his quest for football stardom by enrolling in FC Barcelona’s renowned La Masia academy.

There is no dispute over Messi’s achievements on the field, as he holds numerous records and distinctions, such as winning multiple Ballon d’Or awards.

The Mystery Behind Messi’s Listed Height

Lionel Messi Height: 5 ft 7 in (1.70 m) Well, there’s not a reputable number to be seen.

There has been something of an ongoing debate within Vikings fandom, and among analysts, as to whether this measurement is accurate or maybe just a touch inflated.

Sometimes official statistics from clubs and sports organisations may round up or down the height of players for one reason or another.

Insights Into Messi’s Actual Height

This is notably lower than Messi’s height that stands at 5 foot 7 inches (170cm), though a number of sources claim the Argentine is closer to 5 foot 6 inches (168cm).

While this slight discrepancy has piqued fan interest. To give you another reference, let’s compare the height of Messi with the height of some famous athletes.

For, say, Cristiano Ronaldo, he is 6-foot-2 tall or 187 cm, which is notably taller.

However, both players have performed at elite levels in their careers, which goes to show how talent goes beyond mere size and measurables.

How Messi’s Height Affects His Gameplay

This would lead one to ask, how does Messi’s height affect his style of play?

Messi made for a small opponent, but despite standing at only 1.70m with sports shoes, his low center of gravity provides him with surprising stability and nimbleness.

This allows him to change direction as well as to get out of tackles and keep the ball in tight spaces.

He packs a bag of tricks when dribbling, and he is very agile on the field.

What is more, Messi is not limited in finding the back of the net by his height. A potent left-footer with a real eye for goal

It matters little if it is from a free-kick or the edge of the area, Messi’s perfection in technique rarely falters.

The Influence of Height in Football

Your size can matter, especially on the football pitch where physicality and dominance in the air are both very important, especially if you’re playing in goal or at the heart of the defence.

But for attacking players such as Messi, the necessities of speed, agility and technical ability typically trump height.

There are a number of footballers that have made it despite not being particularly tall.

An Argentine legend named Diego Maradona, one of Messi’s compatriots, only had a height of 5 feet 5 inches (165 cm), but went on to become one of the greatest to ever play the game.

The same goes for Brazilian superstar Romário, who stood at 5 feet 6 inches (168 cm) stole headlines with his incredible goal-scoring prowess.

Conclusion

The height of Lionel Messi, whatever it stands at, be it 5 feet 7 inches or a little bit lower, has not held him back down the years.

Instead it has helped in crafting his own interpretation which in turn has seen him set the field of fire.

Messi’s journey stands as a testament to young wannabe footballers and fans that greatness does not only come from the body but also from the soul, true grit and passion.

£68m World Cup winner reveals his desire to join Real Madrid

by FNUK June 12, 2024
written by FNUK

Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez has revealed that it is his dream to play for Real Madrid, as per The Athletic.

Having joined the Citizens from River Plate back in 2022, the Argentinian has enjoyed a successful time in recent years, winning the treble last year and also lifting the Premier League title last campaign.

The 24-year-old enjoyed a productive season last term, scoring 19 goals and registering 13 assists in 54 appearances. Although the number suggests that the forward played plenty of games last term, he wasn’t the first choice player in big games.

So, it has been reported that Alvarez is looking for a bigger role and therefore, he has been linked with a move away from the Citizens in recent times.

Chelsea are planning to strengthen their attacking department this summer and have registered their interest in signing him. However, along with the West London club, Atletico Madrid are also interested in acquiring his service.

Alvarez wants to play for Real Madrid

However, according to the report by The Athletic, Alvarez’s dream is to play for Real Madrid and he would be willing to join them should they make a concrete approach.

However, having recently signed Kylian Mbappe and Endrick, Real Madrid are currently well-stocked in their frontline and therefore, The Athletic states that it doesn’t look likely that Los Blancos will look to sign Alvarez this summer.

Man City don’t want to let their star man leave on a loan deal and will only sanction a permanent departure should his potential suitors offer a fee of around £68m.

Alvarez already showcased his qualities during his time at River Plate but having moved to the Etihad Stadium, he has developed his career under Pep Guardiola in recent times.

He is a highly talented player and La Liga could be an excellent destination for him to reach his full potential. However, Guardiola looks after him really well and also gives him plenty of playing time so Alvarez would be better off remaining at Man City as long as the Spanish boss remains there.

But, it is going to be interesting to see whether Real Madrid decide to make a swoop to sign him in future after knowing his desire to join the club.

How Does College Football Overtime Work | Definitive Guide 2024

by Alex Mathews June 12, 2024
written by Alex Mathews

College football is thrilling, and if you’ve watched it long enough, you know that overtime can push the excitement into overdrive.

But how does college football overtime work exactly?

This blog post will walk you through the basics and nuances of college football overtime, its impact on games, and why it’s such a vital part of the sport.

Understanding the Basics

The Rules that Govern Overtime in College Football

The rules for college football overtime are unique and different from other football leagues.

From the very beginning, both teams are given equal opportunities to score.

The coin toss determines who gets the ball first, and each team starts at the opponent’s 25-yard line.

The game continues until one team outscores the other in a completed overtime period. If the game is still tied, another overtime period begins.

Scoring and Gameplay

In each overtime period, teams have to score, whether by field goal or touchdown.

If both teams score the same number of points, the game moves to another overtime.

If one team scores more points than the other, they win.

The Role of the Coin Toss

The tone for the entire overtime can be set in the coin toss.

The team that wins the toss often elects to defend first.

This way they know what they need to do offensively when they eventually get the ball, and whether they need a field goal or a TD to win the game.

Analysis of Recent Changes

Updates to the Rules

In an effort to shorten the length of games and decrease the number of overtime periods, the rules have changed in recent times.

No longer will overtime last for however long it takes for one team to outscore the other.

Beginning with the second overtime, teams must go for a two-point conversion after a touchdown

Impact of Rule Changes

This can add a new bit of strategy to the game. Now, coaches have to think about their players being worn down and ready to play longer and work on more of the specific two-point plays that fit in their schemes.

Proposed Changes

There’s been much debate on the topic of tightening up college football overtime to make the extra periods safer and better to watch.

A potential change would be to moving the overtime periods up a few yards, allowing one series to start at the 15-yard line instead of the 25, making it more likely that something happens and shortening the games in the process.

Strategy and Play-by-Play

Defensive Strategies

Overtime defences lean toward playing for a takeaway or at least a field goal.

A lot of teams look for ways to get pressure on the quarterback and force quick decisions, by creating a stronger defensive front.

Offensive Strategies

Offensively, this usually means a good mix of running and passing so that the defence cannot predict.

In these situations, types of play you can consistently rely on, and your consistently reliable players are often counted on to make the difference.

Impact of Coaching Decisions

The impact of coaching on the extra session cannot be underlined enough.

Everything from positioning to putting the right athletes out on the field are decisions that can make or break the game in overtime.

Overtime Across Different Leagues

College Football vs. NFL Overtime

One of the key variations is the way in which possession is established in college football versus NFL overtime rules.

In the NFL, the team scoring the touchdown first wins and in college football, both have opps to do so

This fundamental difference gives rise to diverse strategic mechanisms.

High School Football Rules

High school level football has its own rules for overtime, which will vary depending on location.

Its format is highly similar to that of college football however both teams get going at the 10-yard line rather than the 25-yard line as it is in college football.

International Overtime Rules

While American football has an inherently smaller global footprint, other countries feature similar overtime rules in their leagues, tailored to that particular competition, but borrowing elements from both the NFL and college games.

The Impact on Games and Season Outcomes

Memorable Games Decided in Overtime

Over the years, there have been a variety of overtime games that stem college football folklore.

Remember the 2003 National Championship Game between Ohio State and Miami?

The final was decided in double overtime, where Ohio State claimed the title against Miami (OH).

Games like that are making instant fortunes, and its memories are saved for years.

Season Outcomes

The results of games that go into overtime can have a material effect on a team’s season.

The difference between playing in a bowl game or not can boil down to just one overtime loss.

On the other hand, an OT victory at the right time may propel a team to the postseason.

Fan Reactions

Fans eat up the drama and randomness of overtime football.

This elevated the tension and stakes to a whole new level, and as a result, the watching experience became more thrilling.

Tweets, comments and memes all over the social media hoods describe just how much drama rolls in those final seconds of overtime.

Conclusion

Is there a more exciting version of college football than its overtime?

Its the difference in rules and newer developments it offers has only added to the attraction and it has become an essential part of the sport.

All of these details can be appreciated whether you’re new to the sport or an aficionado, as they offer differing looks at football at large.

Overtime: The Ultimate Test of Skill and Endurance for Players and Coaches The most height ten the world for the fans.

Understanding the college football overtime rules will give you an advantage in following the game you love.

How Many Goals Does Messi Have This Season | Researched Guide 2024

by Alex Mathews June 10, 2024
written by Alex Mathews

Messi is one of the best players ever and his 2024 season only helped further enhance his legendary status. While we continue to gush over his ability and his determination, it is important to look at the goals he has scored this season for through to June 2024!

The purpose of this blog post is to analyze the performance of Messi in depth and all the news that has generated since then, his intervention with the team and all the fantasies that this player has made in this season compared to his precedent years.

Messi’s Goal-Scoring Journey: A Season of Triumph

Since January 2024 Messi has proven to fans that he is still one of the best goal scorers in world football. The following section will look at his journey so far match-by-match, demonstrating the pure class and level of attainment he brings on to the pitch.

After all, it was standard Messi procedure at work, scoring a brace in each of the first three matches of a league season, and thereby lending the impression that what followed could only be ominously successful. That fact that he’s been able to hit the back of the net from almost any part of the pitch has been nothing short of spectacular.

Messi and his tally of goals have brought joy to millions of fans around the world with long-range screamers to delicate tap-ins.

For every season that continued, Messi cemented his legacy as one of the greats. Come June 2024, and he had already found the net an astounding amount of times placing him as one of the front runners for that season’s Golden Boot.

You can clearly see he approaches every single game with a voice of resolute dedication to the game and a love of playing that almost becomes infectious, it makes your teammates feed off of that energy and makes your rivals think twice.

Key Matches and Memorable Goals

To discuss the 2024 season without highlighting some of the key matches where Messi truly sparkled is a grave injustice. Not only did he score in those matches, but showed in equal measures his importance to the team.

Messi produces a hat-trick in an essential match vs prime rival, leaving admirers and pundits in dismay. All goals were works of art, showcasing his ability and intelligence. His first was a free-kick curling it over the wall and into the top corner.

The other was more of solo one, dancing through a slew of defenders before burying the ball. The third, a bullet of a shot from outside the box, was the death knell and the goalkeeper had no chance.

He took it a step further in the dying minutes of a fierce derby when he scored a last-gasp winner, one that would live long in the memory. In a level game ticking into stoppage time, Messi grabbed the ball around the edge of the area.

A turn, a shot and the back of the net that left the fans delirious.

Comparing 2024 to Previous Seasons

His 2024 season still looks very different to anything we have ever seen from Messi. He has always been an elite goal-scorer, but this year took it to a different level. This is mainly thanks to how he has adjusted his game and the tactics of his team.

A noticeable exception is the greater amount of playmaking that Messi has taken on. This campaign, he has played in a more freer central position, a role he adopts by dropping deeper, picking up the ball and bringing the attacking players into the game.

Moving him has not only unlocked his potential as a shooter but also as a player.

But a lot of credit has to go to the team’s tactical flexibility as well. Here he is coming for the ball and where Leo Messi made the difference in the game, with support on each side of the field and quick transitions to overflowing three forwards.

Most of his teammates have a really good chemistry which explains the fact that he has assisted and scored so many more goals.

The Future of Messi in Football

Messi has plenty in him and we all saw it from his on-pitch performance in the 2024 season. His love for the game and out of this world skill set shows that he will be a dominant force for years.

And as we ponder the records Messi can surpass and the limits he can still set, it’s fun to speculate what the future might bring.

Messi will be the name on every football fan’s lips as he either stays put or moves on to a new challenge, but what’s clear is that he will go on entertaining in a way that no other player can.

Conclusion

So, all in all, Lionel Messi Season 2024 is magnificent. Be it his goal scoring numbers or his clutch performance in the finals, Messi has delivered, in his own way, how he’s still one of the best footballers of all time.

While we celebrate that, also let us focus on what the future has stored for this sensational player.

Whether you want to compare titles to league ratios or just get a handle on how Messi has done with his latest game, there is no shortage for fans to choose from. Are you following the journey of the legend in the making..history in living..be inspired by the magical Messi.

How High Can Cristiano Ronaldo Jump | Definitive Guide 2024

by Alex Mathews June 9, 2024
written by Alex Mathews

Cristiano Ronaldo is not just a football superstar, he is a phenomenon. Ronaldo flash speed, agility, and goal scoring are a once in a time player.

However, one part of his athleticism continues to wow fans and experts alike, his freakish vertical jump.

His power to float in the air may distinguish him from the norm, but it also makes for a more well-rounded game.

The Science Behind Vertical Jumps and How They Are Measured

A lot of the secret to Ronaldo’s ability to jump so high is in understanding what it takes to get the human body up as high out of the air as possible.

Vertical Jumps, it is a measure of how high an athlete can elevate from a standstill vertical jump) based off of his own standing reach.

It all comes down to muscle strength, stretch and technique. But to determine jump height, athletes have access to measurements from the Vertec device or high speed camera.

How High Can Cristiano Ronaldo Jump

Cristiano Ronaldo’s hop is really stunning, with reports saying he can arrive at 2.56 metres (around 8.39 feet).

This remarkable height means he can out-leap almost every defender in the world and head the ball at a height that not many could reach.

To put that into perspective, that is on par with verticals of professional basketball players, known for the heights they can jump on a vertical.

The fact Ronaldo is capable of hitting these physical peaks also reflects his intense focus in training on sharp, explosive movement and timing as well as his flexibility.

This superior leaping ability has resulted in a myriad of quality headers and established Swansea’s number 6 as one of the more lethal attacking threats in the air, subsequently explaining much of his goal scoring routine.

Insight into the Training Methods Ronaldo Uses to Achieve His Exceptional Jump Height

For one to be able to jump as high as he does, Ronaldo follows an intense, focused training programe which he uses to work on his explosive power and quick reactions.

He combines a variety of plyometric exercises, like box jumps and depth jumps, building the rapid muscle strength required for those high vertical leaps.

As well as plyometrics, Ronaldo undertakes resistance training, focusing on key muscle groups including the quadriceps, hamstrings and calves to generate significant force, with moves including squats and deadlifts.

Another source of this jumping power is flexibility and core strength, enabling Ronaldo to get up in the air.

His flexibility is maintained through regular stretching sessions, which yoga in particular helps with, which also reduces the risk of injury, while keeping his muscles strong yet supple.

Planks, medicine ball exercises, anything that keeps his core tight will have a direct impact on his ability to control himself and fly around his jumps.

Ronaldo also doesn’t train in a physical gym only. He also participates in agility training and technique drills such as Ladder Drills, or Cone drills to help him work on his timing, and timing king also.

Not only to give him the muscle to jump high, but the mind to get his timing perfect come game time.

Put all these components together and you get Ronaldo’s exceptional vertical jump, singling him out as one of the most athletic footballers ever.

Real-Life Applications of Vertical Jump in Sports, Especially in Football

Having a good vertical jump is a big deal to many sports, especially in football. Leaping ability can make a huge impact in many situations in football.

Higher vertical jumps are a huge advantage during set-pieces (corners, free-kicks). Competing for headers can be the difference in scoring a game winning goal or clearing a ball out of the back.

The unique demands of the soccer game have pushed these adaptations in specific ways for forwards such as Cristiano Ronaldo, a high vertical jump allows them to time their headers and strike them with precision and power, often creating spectacular highlights of goalkeepers wrong-footed.

A great vertical jump can be hugely beneficial for defenders as well. It allows them to challenge and win most air balls that go into their box, reducing the number of goals the opposition can score.

Absolutely, tall can jump higher, as a result of their height and when your making a leaping save, going up for a ball from a corner or free kick and so on.

Not only in football, vertical jump skill is important for other sports like basket, volley, or other athletic activity as well. With basketball, constantly jumping to shoot, snatch rebounds, or block shots is a part of the game.

These critical actions of a team are how a player’s high vertical leap benefits her, and helps her overall team be more successful.

In the same vein, volleyball players use vertical jumps to cross the net when blocking or spiking, and being able to surpass the top of the net height gives an advantage over your opponent.

Sports like the high jump and long jump in athletics are primarily about explosive vertical power pollutants, but most other sports are dominated by individual strength qualities that you have been more than happy to lose.

The Potential Impact of Ronaldo’s High Jump on His Career and Team Performance

Another positive effect on Ronaldo’s career is his incredible leap. It helped him to some of his most memorable moments, the towering headers and spectacular volleys.

It makes him an outlier, and, consequently, that much more valuable during the kind of clutch moments that Cy Young winners carry with them.
