Chelsea have been linked with a £60 million move for the skilful and self-assured Michael Olise.
The winger broke through at Chelsea academy aged 14 before moving on to Manchester City and Reading and making a big impression but at 22, he remains a free agent.
At Crystal Palace, he also scored 10 goals and provided six assists last season, form that has not gone unnoticed by the likes of Bayern Munich and Manchester United.
Olise’s Journey
Olise came through Chelsea’s academy but left to join Manchester City at 14 and then Reading.
He did take off on loan at Reading, where he excelled, wining the EFL Young Player of the Season award for 2020/21.
His £8 million buy-out clause meant that Rogic had been keen on playing in the Premier League eventually, but for that sort of money, he was picked up by Crystal Palace instead.
Chelsea’s Interest
Chelsea are now interested in re-signing Olise, however, as they are said to be aware of just how he has progressed and could offer them the chance to add more quality to their squad.
This would be a big statement made by the club.
