Manchester United are already planning for the summer transfer window as they look to fix their problems after a season full of ups and downs.

With new boss Ruben Amorim looking to reshape the squad, reports say United are eyeing a move for Bundesliga talent Hugo Larsson.

United made a few moves in the January transfer window, bringing in Patrick Dorgu to strengthen the left-back position and young talent Ayden Heaven from Arsenal.

However, the club didn’t sign any major attacking players despite their struggles in front of goal.

Amorim was linked with Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich, but the deal didn’t go through as Bayern refused to include a buy option. Instead, Tel joined Tottenham Hotspur.

United’s current forwards have only managed 11 goals in 65 appearances this season, showing that attacking reinforcements are badly needed.

While United’s focus has been on improving the attack, reports now suggest Amorim is also looking to strengthen the midfield with a move for Frankfurt’s Hugo Larsson.

United Set Sights on Hugo Larsson

The 20-year-old Swedish midfielder has impressed at Eintracht Frankfurt since joining from Malmo FF.

This season, he has scored four goals and provided one assist in 29 games.

His ability to create chances and control the midfield has caught the attention of many top clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester United have reportedly already made contact with Larsson’s representatives as they explore the possibility of signing him.

Frankfurt are willing to sell if the price is right, with the young star valued at around €60 million (£50 million).

  • Pass Accuracy: 89%
  • Successful Passes: 588
  • Cross Accuracy: 66.7%

United Need to Refresh Their Ageing Midfield

One of United’s biggest issues is their ageing midfield. Casemiro and Christian Eriksen are both past their best and cost the club around £500,000 per week in wages.

Their performances have not been good enough, and the club is looking for younger, more energetic players.

Larsson could be the perfect solution. He is still early in his career, full of energy, and can add creativity to United’s midfield.

Under the new INEOS ownership, United are moving away from signing big-name players on high wages and instead focusing on young talents who can grow with the team. Larsson fits this strategy perfectly.
