FNUK Voluntary Writer Requirements:
To write for us, you must be a skilled wordsmith with high editorial standards. We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes football. You should have the creativity to craft a story that grabs attention by uncovering the most intriguing details and writing an original, eye-catching headline.
Occasionally, writers may also be asked to manage our social media channels, but don’t worry training will be provided for that. In a world where the internet is flooded with recycled stories, we need your unique take to stand out and bring fresh perspectives to football fans.
Can you help make the web a more fun and engaging place for football enthusiasts? Are you a talented and passionate writer looking to build a career in football journalism? Do you have the ambition to master online strategies that will help your work reach millions across the globe?
If you answered “yes” to all three questions, then we want to hear from YOU!
To apply, please send your CV to info@footballnewsuk.com with the subject line: “Write for FNUK.” Along with your CV, send us three headlines and three opening sentences (there’s no need to write the full article, but make sure to grab our attention!). Your submissions should include the following:
1. A short piece based on an Instagram post (include the link to the Instagram post).
2. A transfer-related news article based on a report from another website or newspaper (include the link to the original report).
3. An original feature article, list, or opinion piece.
