According to Sky Sports, Leeds United are in pole position to complete a deal for Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi this month.

Leeds have also agreed loan terms with Crystal Palace along with Hull after Sheffield United being the frontrunner.

The 21-year-old winger could be making his debut as early as this weekend, depending on which club he chooses to join.

Leeds, meanwhile, were looking for reinforcements on the wing after Crysencio Summerville left Elland Road to join West Ham United in a £25 million deal.

Why Rak-Sakyi is a Hot Property

Rak-Sakyi is yet to make his bow in the Championship, but his talent has already got Leeds, Sheffield United and Hull City attention.

Leeds, in particular, are keen to plug the Summerville gap and identify Rak-Sakyi as a player who could be key to their promotion push.

But the deal does not come without challenges. Leeds are also weighing up a £7 million deal for Norwich City’s Jonathan Rowe but Rak-Sakyi would be the cheaper option at an initial fee of just £1 m.

A Strategic Move for Leeds United

Leeds’ pursuit of Rak-Sakyi is part of a broader strategy to build a squad capable of competing at the top of the Championship.

With financial constraints in mind, the club sees Rak-Sakyi as a calculated risk worth taking.

As the clock ticks down to the start of the Championship season, all eyes are on Rak-Sakyi’s decision.

Whether Leeds can shake off their Yorkshire rivals to secure his signature could play a crucial role in their campaign.

In other news, Leeds is confident that ongoing civil disruptions in the UK will not impact their opening-day match against Portsmouth.
