Leeds United have been busy this summer, trying to strengthen their team as they aim to return to the Premier League. One target they made an offer for was Largie Ramazani, a young winger from Belgium.

Leeds are keen to sign him hoping he can be the missing piece in a puzzle that sees them aiming to get back into the top flight.

Ramazani’s Current Situation

But now, things look bleak for Leeds United. According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Largie Ramazani is in negotiations for a new contract with his current club UD Almeria.

This news provides a blow to Leeds, who had been fighting to bring in new blood before the transfer window closes.

Other Clubs Interested

It is not just Leeds United who have been interested in Ramazani. Turkish club Besiktas and Greek outfit AEK Athens are also looking for his signature.

Despite the other clubs having shown an interest in signing him, Ramazani seems set on staying at Almeria for now.

Almeria’s Situation

Last season it was a tough time for UD Almeria. Following a disappointing finish in Spain’s top division, they were relegated from La Liga back to La Liga 2.

Despite the drop Almeria’s management are anxious to retain their key personnel and Ramazani features largely in this thinking.

Ramazani’s Career So Far

Largie Ramazani, now 23 years old, has had a promising career to date as a winger. In 31 games for Almeria he has netted 4 goals and provided 5 assists.

Before joining Almeria, Ramazani was part of Manchester United’s youth system, having come through Charlton Athletic’s academy.

However, he didn’t make it into their first team and in 2020 joined Almeria as a free agent.

What This Means for Leeds United

If Ramazani stays at Almeria, Leeds United will have to look elsewhere for new signings. Their chances of a return to the Premier League this season all depend on whether they can make some crucial signings in the last few weeks of the transfer window.

Leeds fans ’ eyes will be on what targets the club picks out from here on in with great interest.

Looking Ahead

As the transfer window’s deadline approaches, Leeds United will be hoping they can pick up some key signings that would give them a better chance of promotion. Losing out on Ramazani is a setback but not the end of the world.

The club needs to move fast and intelligently piece together other talented players who can help to return them into the Premier League.

Largie Ramazani’s decision to renew his contract with UD Almeria is a key development in this summer’s transfer market. Leeds United made an offer for the player, revealing their ambition to get into the top flight.

They now have to look for fresher targets. With the transfer window closing soon, Leeds must make the right moves to strengthen their squad for next season.
