City PSG preview: kick-off, UK TV and travelling squad

by Alex Matthews

Manchester City host Paris Saint-Germain at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday 14th October, with kick-off at 8pm BST. The City PSG preview brings together the home club’s match guide and the visitors’ confirmed travelling squad. UK coverage is on TNT Sports and HBO Max. PSG’s squad announcement is not a starting line-up.

City PSG preview: European champions visit the Etihad

PSG arrive as back-to-back Champions League winners, having won the competition in 2025 and 2026. Luis Enrique’s side provide a major early test in City’s league-phase campaign.

City return home after Sunday’s 3-0 win at Liverpool. Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku and Rayan Cherki scored in the second half at Anfield.

The clubs’ previous Champions League meeting finished 4-2 to PSG in the 2024/25 league phase. City had led 2-0 before the French side recovered. That result offers context for the City PSG preview, but it does not determine how this meeting will unfold.

PSG name their travelling group

Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue are among the attacking players named in PSG’s squad for Manchester. Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz and Joao Neves are also included in the City PSG preview squad list.

Defenders Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, Willian Pacho and Nuno Mendes feature in the travelling group, alongside goalkeepers Lucas Chevalier and Matvey Safonov.

The announcement confirms those players are in the selected group. Luis Enrique’s starting XI will only be known when the official team sheet is released.

City PSG preview: how to follow the match

The match is live in the UK on TNT Sports and HBO Max. City’s official app will also provide live match updates and CITY+ audio commentary from Alistair Mann and Clive Allen.

City say their website and app will carry a match report and reaction after full-time, with highlights and a CITY+ full-match replay to follow. The City PSG preview details are confirmed by both clubs.

Kick-off and coverage details are from City’s official match guide. The travelling players are from PSG’s official squad announcement.
