Manchester United are reportedly targeting Bournemouth’s young defender, Dean Huijsen, for a £50 million transfer.
The 19-year-old, who joined Bournemouth in the summer, has impressed with his performances in the Premier League.
In 18 appearances this season, Huijsen has started 13 games, scored 2 goals, and contributed to 5 clean sheets.
His solid defensive stats, including 1.6 interceptions and 1.3 tackles per game, have made him an attractive prospect for United, who see him as a long-term investment in their defense.
Competition and Bournemouth’s Price Tag
While Manchester United are keen on signing Huijsen, they face competition from Paris Saint-Germain, who are also interested in the young defender.
However, Bournemouth are under no pressure to sell, as Huijsen is contracted until 2030.
The Cherries have placed a £50 million price tag on the player, which may make the deal difficult.
Despite this, Manchester United remain hopeful of securing the signing, seeing Huijsen as the ideal reinforcement for their defense alongside experienced players like Lisandro Martínez and Harry Maguire.
