Real Madrid recovery update names Mbappé, Valverde and Rodrygo

Real Madrid say Kylian Mbappé, Federico Valverde, Rodrygo, Ferland Mendy and Ibrahima Konaté are continuing their recovery programmes. The club named all five in its official training update on 29 September.

José Mourinho’s available players completed their second training session of the week at Real Madrid City. A group of academy players joined them for the work on the pitch.

Real Madrid recovery update names five players

The club’s report gives a clear, limited update: the five named players remain on recovery programmes. However, it does not provide a return date for any of them or confirm when they will be available for selection.

Therefore, the Real Madrid recovery update does not predict that Mbappé, Valverde, Rodrygo, Mendy or Konaté will miss a particular match. The report also does not state that any of them has returned to full group training.

That distinction matters when following fitness news during a break in club fixtures. A mention of recovery work describes the current programme in the club’s update; it is not a diagnosis, a selection decision or a timetable.

Available players train with the academy group

Meanwhile, the players available to Mourinho began their session with warm-up exercises and small-sided games. They then worked through possession drills and played a match on a smaller pitch.

Finally, the session ended with a run on the pitch. The club report describes the training work but does not offer a complete attendance list for the group.

As a result, this Real Madrid recovery report adds no extra names on the basis of photographs alone. The club confirms the academy involvement, though this update does not announce a promotion, a first-team debut or a change to the squad.

What Real Madrid have confirmed

The main development in this Real Madrid recovery update is the club’s latest named list alongside continued work for the available players. In addition, the report establishes that this was the second session of the week at the training ground.

For supporters looking ahead, the next useful information would be a further club fitness update or a matchday squad announcement. Speculation about how quickly a player might recover cannot replace either.

For now, Real Madrid’s position in the 29 September report is that Konaté, Mbappé, Mendy, Valverde and Rodrygo are continuing their programmes. The club gave no confirmed return dates.
