Antonio Rudiger scored the winner as Real Madrid beat Roma 4-3 after trailing 3-1 at the Stadio Olimpico.
Carlos Espi and Endrick brought Madrid level before Rudiger completed the turnaround in the 90th minute. Roma had looked in control after Donyell Malen scored twice early in the second half, but three Madrid goals from the 83rd minute changed the result.
The final score was confirmed by Real Madrid’s official match centre. BBC Sport’s match record lists the scorers and timings from a seven-goal Champions League game.
Malen puts Roma in charge before Antonio Rudiger winner
Marten de Roon opened the scoring for Roma in the 20th minute, with Matias Soule supplying the assist. Kylian Mbappe equalised five minutes later following an assist from Yan Diomande, leaving the teams level at the break.

Roma then took a firm grip on the game. Malen scored in the 51st minute with Rodrigo Mora providing the assist, before adding his second six minutes later from another Soule assist.
At 3-1, the hosts had turned a balanced half-time score into a two-goal advantage. Antonio Rudiger and Madrid still had time to respond, but the comeback arrived late rather than through an immediate answer to Malen’s double.
Three late goals turn the match around
The decisive sequence in Roma 3-4 Real Madrid began with Espi’s goal in the 83rd minute. That reduced the deficit to one and opened a final stretch in which Roma’s lead disappeared.
Endrick equalised in the 85th minute, with Arda Guler credited with the assist. The Brazilian’s goal made it 3-3 and left Madrid with the chance to turn a recovery into a win.
Antonio Rudiger took that chance in the 90th minute. Guler was again the provider as Madrid moved ahead for the first time, completing a comeback from two goals down with three late goals.
For Roma, the result was a sharp reversal after Malen’s second-half scoring burst. For Madrid, the difference was not simply getting back into the contest: they kept going after the equaliser and found the winner.
Antonio Rudiger completes the Madrid comeback
The match finished with Madrid taking a 4-3 victory from a game they had been losing 3-1 with seven minutes of normal time remaining. Roma’s two-goal lead did not survive the late surge.
Mbappe’s first-half equaliser kept the visitors level at the interval, but Espi, Endrick and Rudiger supplied the goals that decided the night. Guler’s two assists were part of that final turnaround.
