Leeds United officials have made a significant move in the transfer market by agreeing on a £5 million deal for Sheffield United defender Jayden Bogle.
The 22-year-old is set to undergo medical and join Leeds’ pre-season training camp in Germany.
A Strategic Signing
Leeds have struck a deal for Bogle having had two previous offers knocked back, with the player entering the final 12 months of his contract.
It is one of the signings being made by Chris Wilder in an attempt to rebuild his side at Bramall Lane, amid fears they may otherwise lose Bogle for nothing next summer.
Leeds’ new addition is expected to make his debut during their pre-season games in Germany, adding strength and experience to their defense.
Bristol City’s New Striker
Bristol City, meanwhile, have brought in striker Sinclair Armstrong from Queens Park Rangers. The 20-year-old striker Armstrong has signed a four year contract.
Bristol City head coach Liam Manning lauded Armstrong’s physical traits and potential, citing his natural speed and strength as stand-out qualities.
Armstrong is brought in to bolster Bristol City’s attacking options and help make higher scoring displays more frequent.
Leeds United’s Pre-Season Plans
Leeds United play their final pre-season friendly against Valencia at Elland Road on Saturday, August 3 before the start of the new Championship season.
The Whites fans are excited to see how Bogle will fit in and help Marcelo Bielsa’s as they bid for promotion from the Championship.
The capture of Sinclair Armstrong is a statement from Bristol City as they build on and off the pitch, with Messi one claiming their team will compete in the Championship.
His pace and power should provide a different dynamic to their attacking play, making him a valuable asset for the upcoming season.
One significant move by both Leeds United and Bristol City then, as they look to continue building in preparation for the new campaign.
